Having played the accordion myself, this is unreal. All the things that are going through his head at once. Getting the movement of the bellows correct while pressing the keys at the right time, not to mention the accessory keys being pressed at exactly the right moment. I was already a fan of Vivaldi, but wow, this takes it to an entirely new level. Amazing!

I'm just imagining learning the free bass vs stradella and the fact that he's building chords in his bass hand vs a stradella pattern. At that point it's almost an entirely new instrument when you think about it.

For real? Did you ever gave a concert or, as I guess, you just tried to learn? Cause if you ever played it you'd know that nothing is running trough his head but the music, it take hours and hours and even more hours dayly to get to it but at this stage you just enjoy and have fun nothing really runs trough our minds but pleasure.

Exoterism is a blessing. Share your knowledge so it can be a benefit for the present, and a gift for future generations. Secrets are captive in a man's head like a sapling is in a small pot, and when the pot breaks the sapling dies. My favorite moments in music are when musicians challenge my preconceived notions of what sound possibilities can emerge from a particular instrument. Outside of the obvious technical mastery and elite musicality, even the visual aspect of expanding his bellows extremely wide during the encore piece, like an eagle spreading its wings and cloaking the sky, added a dramatic flair during a peak moment. I am just blown away.

There's a cultural thing I had to get used to even as a European and I think I've come to understand it a bit more: You do not clap during performances. Let the man finish and once he finishes, you stand up and cheer your heart out, but do not empty your appreciation storage while the concert is still going on. He is clearly about to perform more and this is just a clip from an even longer performance. At first, it was a little tough for me to get because I wanted to clap and cheer and I wondered why the room was dead silent. But eventually, it grew on me a little. It's not a pop concert where audience participation and interaction is a thing. There is a master and they are performing their craft at their own pace. Be glad you are witnessing it and even if the room bursts out in cheers and applause because they can't hold it in, silence yourself asap so they can continue. It is awkward to have 5 minutes of standing ovations and then go back to the piece and the next one gets less applause and everybody is too tired to clap at the end. Instead, wait until it's all over, then release all of your appreciation for as long as you can physically hold it up, which isn't long for old people, but all the more important to stay seated and breathe until the guy is done for real. Edit: That said, I've once performed a little song for refugees from ... Syria and Iraq or something? And it was a wildly different culture. They'd swarm me as soon as the song started and cheered and clapped and smiled and partied. It felt overwhelming at first but it made so much sense in hindsight. Why would you not dance and holler when someone is performing an upbeat song in front of you? Later on, when we played rock music, some of them came on stage and danced there, something I would never have dared to do because I grew up with the idea of the line between performance and audience. But it made sense in the context of party rock music. So I absolutely get that it feels weird when the energy doesn't match one's own. The pauses do feel tense, but they should. In a weird old European way, it signals polite anticipation, like when you look at someone and hold your breath when they have finished a sentence, like you want to hear more from them. Culture is weird. :D

Very rarely do I feel so moved by music. I envy those who were there live to see this pure work of art. To FEEL the music around me would be spectacular. This peice is already very moving work, but on the accordian it is on a different tier. I come back to this from time to time, and I am excited every time! Thank you for your work

I feel like I learn something about the universe listening to this. I think there is something special about wind instruments, such as the organ and the accordion. It’s interesting that the Sanskrit word for a special symbol representing the universe also means “instrument”. It is as if the universe or God is breathing through this instrument! And the wonderful musician here is it’s faithful servant! Bravo! Welll done maestro!

My goodness, this alone has made me realize I never knew what an accordion was capable of and made me cry, my third time watching this and I just thought how awesome a full organ would be behind this accordion solo piece I think it’d feel like heavens gates opened in front of me

Why nobody writes how truly noble his interpretation is? No showing off, no overexaggerated emotions, just pure music performed with such amazing grace. The only musician who could play with such integrity I know is Soviet- Russian classical pianist Sviatoslav Noble.

Je úžasný to vidět...
