Dare I say Dest is underrated, even by USMNT fans? Aside from Reyna, I think he has the highest ceiling in the USMNT pool. He made such huge strides on the defensive side of the ball this year. Can't wait to see what 2022-2023 brings.

He has boatloads of talent, he just needs to work on his consistency. Some games he’s breaking ankles left and right, and some others he can’t complete a 1v1. He also needs to work on his play in the final third, and especially his crossing. If he can sort those things out he will be fantastic

He’s literally one of the most versatile players in the world, ambidextrous feet, could literally play 10 positions and start in a top flight league except maybe cf or ss.

I would be a Dest fan even if he weren't a USMNT player, but since he is, there is so much satisfaction watching him play.

His positioning, tactical awareness and defensive ability has improved a lot. Personally imo he looked far more dangerous on the ball with koeman than with Xavi. That might have to do more with Xavi maybe not giving him as much freedom offensively buy overall he's looked incredible since Xavis arrival

It’s so disappointing, he was in such a great run of form until he got injured during the tackle at 3:23. That was right before the last USMNT camp. Really, really unfortunate, he was playing so well for Barca

Clear to see why Xavi has him in the long term plans for Barca. In a year or two he will easily be a UCL WINNER quality RB.

as far as i'm concerned dest is on the short list of most talented player in concacaf. whenever he plays for us he needs to touch the ball as much as possible. maybe even consider playing him at right mid instead of RB. his attacking ability is kinda wasted back there.

Dest has the best footwork on the usmnt by a mile so i feel like playing him at rb instead of rw is a bit of a waste of that footwork. Sure, he's a fullback so his opportunities to go up is there, but giving him more freedom to commit to the attack would pay dividends. Plus we have some quality depth at RB with joe scally making strides for borussia that it might be best to let dest play as a forward with the national team

Earlier this month there were reports that Barcelona wanted Dodo at right-back, but they've let Fiorentina have him, so apparently those reports were false. It seems Dest's sparkling form to close the season has won over Xavi.

Wouldn't mind him at united, looks like a player that exciting going forward which is perfect for a modern fullback and a massive improvement to AWB and even Dalot. Only concern is his defencive ability but ETH should know the player well and for less than £20 million it's maybe worth a shot. Barca needs the money.
