Can you explain the music theory behind this song so a non musician can understand the complexity?

@@PlateletRichGel usually pop songs have one or two key changes. Jazz songs usually have 2 to 5 keys changes. This pop song has 12 key changes making it one of the most complex songs in terms of modulation. Each key has a scale and every scale has a bunch of notes that make up the scale as well as chords that fit that scale. For 12 key changes in this short song would mean the melody or parts of it would largely maintain the same pattern but the scales would keep shifting. To make this sound beautiful this woukd have taken some songwriting genius. To sing and especially to play would be very difficult.
