I just want to say something here. My PC stopped booting after a driver update today, and for the life of me I could NOT get to the recovery screen because all of the websites I went to did not entirely specify when I should push F11. Then in a last ditch effort after considering giving up and taking it to Best Buy, I came upon your video and literally SAW that I was pressing it too late. Recovery booted like a godsend, and I'm currently awaiting some disk repairs now as I type. Hopefully a factory reset isn't necessary. All to say, THANK YOU SO GODDAMN MUCH BRO HOLY FACK.

So in my cheapo HP Notebook (serial Model14-amu)-I had to press Power button, the ESC button, then F11 to give me the factory reset menu options. It took me an hour to find this in my user manual. All the help videos say just go to power on-f11. But I repeat, I had to hit Power, ESC, f11. Hope this saves someone time! AWESOME video! Took me right through the steps. Huge thank you!

THANK YOUUUUUUUU!! My laptop got a virus a reaaaallly bad one, it was a Trojan I believe it locked me out of the Wi-Fi detection menu and blocked my from potential malware and antivirus removers when I tried resetting from the settings it litteraly would not show a menu using F11 got me to the recovery screen and I was good to go!

Mine has been installing Windows at 64% for about 8 hours. Goes from HP window to the 64%, and then auto shut off and right back on. Like some weird boot loop. Any suggestions?

Sir when I m trying to restore factory setting using recovery manager my laptop is showing a dialogue box " HP Recovery manager failed. Error code= 0xEFFFFF08 " Sir plz help. And also system recovery option is disabled for my system.

We bought my granddaughter the PC Christmas special in 2015, she is now 12 and going to start another school year. The mouse pointer flips to the start menu and opens and closes it rapidly while you try to work. So, you can’t do a thing. My daughter called Microsoft and HP and was given the run around. He then put it aside, I just found it and am trying to redo the drive, in hopes that we can salvage it for the granddaughter. So far it is installing windows. Hope this works, I hate throwing money away.

some computers have a separate partition where windows is stored for reset, but unfortunately some don't have this partition in which case you will need to go to HP site & have them mail you the install disk
