Jeremy has spent thousands putting Xmas lights on all his cars, so $20 for a full can of spray, if he was convinced that he needed it, would be no problem, nor would it be any more than 3 seconds work to remove the pepper spray pouch from his belt, along with all of the other empty ones, but he knows that people know cops have a bunch of pouches on their belt, and for him to look like a cop, he must carry those things. I can see why the concealed weapon charge is a stretch but since pepper ball guns are less lethal and they are made with markings indicating so, such as a yellow mark or orange tip, I can see why he could be charged with it. To a reasonable and ordinary person it looks like a real gun. Hence the term “beyond a reasonable doubt” if he were to pull that pepper ball gun on an officer and they shot and killed him, the officers would be completely justified.
