Just wanted to say thank you because I don’t think I would’ve passed my 7 without your videos! Now off to the 66!!!!

Kudos on passing your Series 7 exam! Always very gratifying when my videos contribute to test taking victories like yours.

Dean. I hope you are well. Here are my notes but if it is all possible would like to get some confirmation from you if the below is correct. 1. NAASA rule - written authority to exercise discretion must be obtained from customer no later than 10 business days after being given verbal discretion 2. Federally covered - written authority is required prior to accepting ANY discretionary orders. Thank you.

The channel is self-serve. It is not my job or the function of this free channel to confirm your notes. You will not be tested on the difference between state and federal. You will be tested on state and your notes are correct.

hey dean! i’m taking my 66 next week and on my practice questions there’s a lot of math questions on calculating total risk and after tax yield. do you think there will be a lot of calculations questions ?
@Series7Guru2 жыл бұрын
No. Most are recognition of the math and what math is used for a certain situation. Inputs and outputs.

Hi Dean, What if a client gives instructions that also include price but the order only partially fills? For example: “buy 500 shares of AMZN at or below $2300.” But only 400 fill?
@Series7Guru2 жыл бұрын
That is a limit order and is not discretionary and not a problem. If customer does not want a partial fill or potential partial fill customer could add qualifier like fill or kill or immediate or cancel. Your scenario is not on the test.
