I absolutely loved this series, from the first moment I knew Pit Babe was going to be one of my fave series in 2024 🥰 All the cast is amazing, and I'm with Beth, my fave couple is Jeff & Alan, they're the sweetest, the cutest 🥰 and Sai is so great, I fell for him from the first moment I saw him 💖

Omegaverse actually started w/ Supernatural fanfic, so very much a western invention lol. Tho it did spread to asian fandoms and they latched onto the more supernatural/fantastical versions of the genre and are a lot more likely to have overtly animalistic traits incorporated like shapeshifting, canine body parts like tails and fur, etc. In omv for western media or written by western fans, at least as far as I've seen, are more likely to have the character just be humans with some...well, extras, to put it mildly lol. The youtuber ColeyDoesThings has a very slick vid (heh, wee what I did there) introducing omegaverse with all it's quirks and tropes.

I believe the Omegaverse was born out of BDSM culture cause they have Alphas, Betas and Omegas and BDSM has been around forever. I've read a lot of books on Kindle Unlimited that are set in the Omegaverse or a universe where Mpreg is possible. Light novels from East Asia expanded on the Omegaverse concept. Manhwas, Mangas and web toons also have a lot of stories set in an Omegaverse.

Initially, I thought i might not enjoy this series. The story was out there for me, but i very much enjoyed the series. Pavel was positively mesmerizing as Babe. Only critique i have is that the finale felt rushed. I wish they had spent more time with Charlie’s return from the dead. The scene when Babe first sees Charlie was lacking the impact and emotion i would have expected after Babe witnessing Charlie’s death, the devastating funeral, etc.

This series was so good. I'm definitely going to rewatch it. I hated Way but adore Nut, so I wanted so bad to forgive him but couldn't do it. Death was the only way his story could have ended. Didn't like Winner either but he was hot. Loved Charlie, Babe, Jeff and Alan but North and Sonic were my favorites. North by himself was my favorite but I'm biased. I totally fell for Michael during Boys Journey.

I've heared that Omegaverse started in the Star Trek fandom :P so that would be America, not China (honestly, i feel like if China would invent sth like that then it would be more about Dragons than Wolves xd Dragins are way more popular in their culture) And then Supernatural and Teen Wolf made it more popular?

I was waiting for pitbabe but like I don’t like the waiting. I did that before for so many other bls and I learned I am impatient asf where you have to wait every day for one episode per week…. Like bruh nah. I remember I was waiting for yyy and my engineer every week when it was airing

Personally I would have liked more emphasis on the omegaverse aspects since it's one of my favourite genres but hearing you ladies talk like that about it and being you are representatives of the BL fandom industry, I can understand why they played it safe and didn't include things that real fans of the omegaverse genre would like. Apart from calling themselves alphas and having special powers, there wasn't much focus on it at all. Yes the momma papa thing was but they didn't have to go that far. I would have liked to see more of the special markings and double personalities of having a wolf soul and just knowing who your mate is by meeting them. I was also very dissapointed in the enigma since they made it out to be a very powerful alpha but then let one die with just one gunshot. The storyline was okay but the omegaverse part was a disappointment to me.

I personally hated pitbabe. I just didn't like the chemistry between charlie and babe. I was kinda rooting for way. I personally think that they had much stronger chemistry. But then the show turned him into a jerk.. and tbh charlie and babe aren't much better 😂 the entire show was weird. And also like can't two boys be friends without having a romantic relationship.. 🙄 a bl series doesn't mean that every guy in it should be gay like wth😂
