How do they keep the spring brakes from coming on on the trailer??
@rubenmanitowabi5 жыл бұрын
When your winching with a grapple skidder could you run the cable through the tongs to help for traction?
@jamesmckay99664 жыл бұрын
I am surprised that you do not have Snatch Block for a ParBuckle.
@mackmacgillivary74785 жыл бұрын
Is there a tree trunk worthy of attaching the skidder winch. Then a second cable sling from back of skidder to truck n trailer. This way you can pull with skidder wheels and winch but of course you need there right trunk and 2nd sling. How long from stopped to independent rolling?

Hello, great video! I am looking for a picture of a stuck logging truck. Would it be possible to use a still from from this video?
@larrykluckoutdoors82275 жыл бұрын
Watching you pull on that truck, I think about those videos from over sea where they pull tractors and trucks apart trying to get them out.
@chrismarzec92135 жыл бұрын
get yourself a one inch steel snatchblock for the winch cable. it will double your pulling power. get rid of the end hook . it wont handle the pull. use a one inch clevis. its rated for the pull. you will have to weld a dead head on the skidder. for the double pull.
@nekoroms4 жыл бұрын
How fast would the cable or something else break if you used the skidder grapple to give a little tug on the cable?...probably would explode instantly
@MRALBERT5714 жыл бұрын
Does the DNR keep u from putting down some wood chips, I have seen some people that do that and works very well and u have them right there, also never seen them have to pick them up as they just break down.

Good video, you know that eye on the tongue of the pup should not move like that. We would run a weld on the front side as well as tighten the nut on the backside. I'm not being critical, just from a safety standpoint it should be tight.

I wish the Amish would clean up my grandpas woods as nice as this when their finished. They leave it an absolute mess. Can’t even hunt it for a few years after their done. Which is one of the reasons we alternate cuts. 5 years we’ll do 45 acres and the other 5 we’ll do the rest of the land so it’s not all messed up at once.
@nicholashollow94105 жыл бұрын
You guys should really try a kinetic energy recovery rope. If that skidder gets some momentum going it help a whole lot. That or get a snatch block for the winch on tje skidder and double the pulling force. Dig the tires in a little and giver hell.

if you saw the end of the next video, it showed the big rock that hung up the truck. tough call , stumps & rock can't be seen. that outfit always maxes out all their rigs every load. they ask way too much of their rigs and men. forest roads are made for pick-ups & deer, not 167,000 lb combination units. YOU WILL HAVE LOSS.

Guys almost need like truck mats the are basically gaint wood pallets but i dont know how much a 2×4 built mats would hold up with the weight and just snap because down in southern mich where iam at is alot more rocky and not as much clay but where your at is sand and clay and is just ridiculous get stuck everytime and having to use the skider which is alot of down time not pulling trees up to the slasher or the chipper and cant have a gravel train come in and make a road since that would be a beach and costly for every job sight so i am sure if not you have thought about it and you fathers father and so on and has never thought of a solution thats a beach i gotta give you guys respect to have to deel with that on a everyweek we have mabey have to deel with the same problem in the spring and late fall so to one player of Michigan mud, clay pit that seems to go on forever gg
@austindenotter195 жыл бұрын
A lot of guys do have mats for exactly what you are asking about. Also used for bridges in some cases.
@crazyjack33575 жыл бұрын
@@austindenotter19 i know people out of state use them never seen somebody use em in the state of Michigan so i am thinking they can handle a axle on the but when three axles or 4 axles get on one of the mats i am thinking it would break under the wieght of the 3or4 axles
