I would probably add an onion ring and tomato ring to the inside to make it more interesting and more "Denver-y". But, of course that would probably raise the carbs a bit. Also, I would try it with seasoned ground beef in place of or added to the egg. Or even pepperoni! The possibilities are endless! Thanks for sharing this video. This opens up a whole new set of possible quick and fun keto dishes to break up the monotony. 🤗🧅🍳🥓🧀

I often make your "recipes"....but this one, I literally paused the video just after the taste test, made a version with sausage, scallions and havarti cheese. Learned the necessity of a good flat cut on the bell pepper, lol...but it was delicious all the same. Love when you collaborate with the fam! Can't wait to make this for my husband who has gone "low carb" on the down low. He refuses to admit he's cutting carbs but suddenly "passes on the bun" and skips the pasta. I just as subtly started increasing the amount of zucchini noodles and make just enough pasta so that he can continue to play his game. He travels through the week and I'm sure he does the same while on the road because he's suddenly lost over 20 lbs in the last few months. He attributes it to pickle ball. Ty for all the wonderful recipes/ideas. My fav is Terri's Egyptian fried rice (w/ fennel pollen). Hubby loves it too, of course. Lol.

Hi Steve!- Thanks for the specific temp! The IR thermometer gun is going on my kitchen gadget wishlist. $18 worth the time and peace of mind. My gas stove runs hot. I usually need to cook between the 0-1 dial setting for most food!? 😮 The flame will vary from 1/4” to 1 1/2” in that range, I have to bend down horizontal to the flame 🔥 to see how high it actually is and micro adjust.😒 (It’s like fiddling with those old school ‘Rabbit Ears’ for TV tuning😅). I always learn something new from your channel! THANKS ❤❤❤

It's also great for checking your oven's temperature calibration (I did a video on this). At the very least, you'll likely discover that when your oven says that it has preheated, it is still probably 5 minutes or more from being at the desired temp.

Ohhh this is a great idea!! Hmmm I think I'll try to veganize this one and use the green pepper ring, Just Egg, seasoned ground Impossible, diced onion (be that either green onion on top or...not sure yet) and no cheese since vegan cheese is way too carby. Knowing me, I'll add jalapeno or something spicy or perhaps just a good hot sauce afterwards. So many options including small chopped broccoli and even some tomato OR tomato sauce. Yup this is GREAT!! Thank you!!

Steve Have you thought about a couple of vids doing some "fermentations"? Kimchi is a traditional Korean dish made from fermented vegetables, typically cabbage, garlic, ginger, and chili peppers. It is low in carbohydrates and contains probiotics, which can be beneficial for gut health. Most kimchi recipes contain less than 5 grams of net carbs per serving
@SeriousKeto22 күн бұрын
The issue with fermented foods, as I understand it, is that they lose their probiotic benefits when heated over 130F. I love the taste of fermented foods (Kimchi, sauerkraut, hot sauce made from fermented chilis, etc.), but most of those I find I use at temps that are higher than 130F.
@SeriousKeto22 күн бұрын
PS - I have made my own Kimchi and it was glorious, but I had to put it in it's own little fridge in my basement because the smell was so powerful.
