I'm still puzzled about exactly what the best course of action here would be. I imagine Norse needs to rush three TC's as a reaction to the Hermes fast 2nd TC... I wonder if it is as simple as Rag and wonder?

I remember playing this game as a kid, playing on easy, making like 20 medusas and turning everything that i saw into stone :D Nice to see a real gameplay.

How about spamming 30 - 40 Phoenix and execute Eclipse just before they start attacking your opponent's town?

I really enjoy your commentary about macro matchup/map strategy - e.g. "on low hunt it's hard to hit a mythic timing of any significance". Just a bit of feedback - the more you walk us through your train of thought (even things that might be obvious to you), the better. For example, why does low hunt mean 2 TC? Is it because the second TC is safe from an army push? Why is this not a Hermes map? Is it because it's too protected to get value with centaur? Why does low hunt mean Hermes? etc. Regardless, your ability to commentate while you play is impressive!

Low hunt means 2TC is better as all possible timings that can punish it are pushed back with the exception of Set and maybe some Ra stuff. Hermes wouldn't have been a bad choice but centaur would have been useless due to the east ability to wall off.

man! this one still blunders me, because the safety of the zeus base makes it so easy to wall and defend while making farms. Semi-FM Tyr push would be insanely good, but without hunt Norse can't make that timing. Classical greek army can still defend a FH push, because 2tcs cover wood and gold, and as long as greek farms are running, that eco is unstoppable. The dock play could work for side builds but only if it was completely unseen, and Boit for example, has very good awareness when scouting! My only conclusion is to see a high level player magically get that same exact map spawn against zeus or greek in general, and just observe how they respond lol. I truly believe this is the kind of map where greek just wins. It really is all-in or nothing. Maybe Loki can get damage value, but again no hunt = no timing.

Obviously you must scout well to know what your opponent is doing, but lucky for you, you have Ravens. So use your Ravens to spot army/military buildings and if you see nothing then I recommend a 2TC pure dwarf FH with the intention of using the market to get either your food upgrades out (heavy inf) and go into mass huskarl/ta while setting farms up and trying to secure centre control or buy mythic, click fimble, and try to make something worth there.

As Odin, I think the play is fast njord to take out 2nd tc then into heroic age fight. Try to keep Greek in classic and push with huskarl/TA since there’s no food

On competitive mega random. The game tells you at the start of there is fish or not to balance for gods that don't have the best scouting.

Hi Boit - does it Worth killing all animals so quickly to save walking time? In EE this will give you much less food due to the decay of the animal food. Whereas if you put 8 vills you wont have any walking time because 8*15 + decay is almost 150 food

The further away from the granary you kill an animal the less efficient it is. So while killing one at a time will result in more resources in the long run, it's near impossible to consistently kill one by one and have them stay next to the granary. I value more resources faster, than more resources overall.
