Those of us who served as crew on the Slick 60, (original of the Series) really liked them. The Gun was remarkable in that it was the M-68, a license version of the British L-7 105mm Rifle. This coupled with the enhanced fire control of the M-60, Range finder, linked to a pretty good Ballistic Computer and very finely controlled Gun laying hydraulics, made it one of the best Tanks in the field in those days. Very reliable automotive gear, and a lighter Hull than the M-48 made it very quick, and maneuverable. Once all sides had HEAT, and Discarding Sabot (or APCR) and the venerable HESH/ HEP as their basic loads, Armor was not the imperative feature to have, as no Tank could carry enough Armor to protect it. Armor was re-engineered to suffer the least secondary damage, and threat to Crew, and lightened in certain areas to increase mobility. The M-60 Series only improved in subsequent versions, while Warsaw Pact Tanks became more of a chew toy. Even so, they still presented a threat on the field, and could put a hole in NATO tanks as easily as we could them. (The Good old, Bad old Days of the Cold War.)

yeah the A3 had a good Thermal Imaging System too, old tankers thought it was better than the M1/M1X's Thermal sights when we switched over.

100% correct about M60. Gun handling excellent, DPM good. I would still take Leopard over M60. I recently bought M60 for nostalgia reasons. I was a 19E in the army, which is an armored crewman, I loved being on tanks. we later transitioned over to the M1. Also correct about 279e’s. 50% out there are just average players or lower. Rock on tankers 🤘😎

Love the M60! It was pretty funny when the clan I was in won them during 1st clan wars event, we would do BattChatt/M60 fast cap rushes. Put three chats together in cap and surround them with M60's so the other team couldn't shoot them.

The Obj705A was exposing way to much of his side when he was side scraping, but his enemies just didn't know where to shoot him. They were bouncing because they were shooting him above his tracks instead of below the upper track and above the track wheels. The side hull they were shooting has an outer spaced armor and an inner armor that is angled which is why it bounces most shots. The M60 in your first half was interesting to watch, if I am ever dumb enough to reinstall world of tanks maybe I will buy one just to prove wargaming has not given me special RNG on my bloom stats. All my tanks have huge bloom every time I fire my gun or move my turret or move my tank. If I am moving all at once I cannot hit an enemy tank right next to me and pen them. Does not matter if I have a 5 perk crew!

Honestly my favorite tier 10, they buffed it's turret to the A3 version (was the M60A1 paper turret before). It doesn't do so well at close range because of the tumor, but as a medium/long range sniper tank with mobility, it's on par with the Leopard I. But with a gun that isn't just accurate on paper. I would say without a doubt it does 100% have the best gun handling/effective accuracy in the game. 2nd place is M48 patton.

I have the Leopard 1. It's supposed to have the best gun in the game. I have a 6 skill crew in it. Stage 3 fire control system. I have better luck hitting targets with my FV4005. The Leo trolls me and I struggle to get 2000 damage with it. Not that I die but my gun Is all ghost shells and ground hits.

He did not hit the upper plate. He was aiming just a bit higher than the tracks. It has around 80-90mm of armor and only possible if the e75 if above/higher than you.

Never played the Object 705 but not so sure he was overangled. His side armor is OP, however his front drive wheel is really weak so he tries not to expose it when sidescraping. The 277 shot him exactly to that front drivewheel through the gap but he was firing HEAT so it got absorbed, AP would have gone through like hot knife through butter

I had loads of bonds and could afford any bond tank I wanted, but I was really undecided. I never saw M60's when I was playing the game. I looked to the "experts," including Claus and most recommended the Chinese tank, but I had Chinese tanks so it seemed just more of the same. So I didn't get anything in the end to avoid disappointment. I've deleted my accounts now, so now I just watch other players being disappointed on Claus's channel! 😋

Hey Claus - OK, have said before I'm a lifelong diehard sniper. I have the Grille but don't play it much after the hard slog to get its predecessor, because I got stuck with Grille and it's not all that good as a sniper. So, I've got the bonds for an M60, but.....? What happens if I play the M60 like a TD rather than its designation as a medium tank? Something tells me I'll have to turn off team chat for those matches to avoid all the hate mail from "teammates" determined to remind me of my improper play style. What do you think?

A few clan member friends of mine have this tank and have differing thoughts about it. Is it better than an Obj 140 or 907 and the gun is no where near as good as the Leopard 1. As for this players reticle size well he's clearly using the reduced reticle mod (the offical mod that most players are using now). So nice tank that is ok but no where near epic.
