You know Seri, what you said about being forgotten and oblivion was really powerful, and it got me right in the feelings. I'm serious. You know, there's a quote that says, "they say you die twice. I just thought i'd suggest naming the two foxes (the one you control + the spirit fox), so that we can better connect with the characters. names + personalities are often good for character connection. I have a few ideas: For the spirit fox, maybe something similar to aurora borealis? maybe Aure. just an idea though

Maybe this is weird but, if anything, i would rather be forgotten? For me, being known (or maybe, perceived, more than known) is binding, in a way, a trap. If all knowledge or traces of existence are gone, that strikes me as liberating. Existential matters aside, i'm glad you played this game and posted it for us to see! I knew nothing of it until i saw your first video about it, and have since added it to my list of games to try. A big portion of that list has come from your channel.

I really like this game. It's very peaceful and calm, it looks amazing, it has foxes, and Seri is giving me an existential crisis. What makes this game more amazing is that it was made by only two people. Also the spirit fox is female.

what a beautiful and sobering game. It seems that the spirits are close to the hanging talismans, so the one you missed might have been somewhere in between the slides in episode one. I wonder if that is part of an achievement in the end? When you reunite them with their staffs, it seems that either they are cleansed or their faith is reinstated, hence the colour shift. I looks pretty anyway. Also, the Talismans light up when you touch them. The look of the fox now looks epic btw ^^

I have a feeling all that sliding is the reason someone was missed in Chapter 1. It's possible that in the early areas when you see those talismans they were an indication of a lost spirit, and I recall there was one you did pass up because you did go really far ahead of the spirit fox :x

I know im 3 years late to the party, but you gotta be excited for spirit of the north 2, gosh that trailer is gorgeous, i dont know if you've ever been told to try Shadow of The Colossus but there's another heartbreakingly beautiful game, steel your heart tho, it gets emotional and theres another one called Arise about an old guy reflecting on his youth and his predicament, it doesn't get talked about enough, its another heartbreakingly gorgeous game these ones i mentioned once experienced will never leave your soul itll be etched on your heart forever, its certainly an unforgettable experience i recommend, take care till the next one, id love to know your thoughts on Spirit of the north 2, i never actually thought we'd see a sequel, but im so excited for it

The spirit fox kept the volcanos from erupting but he went to the cave to sleep, the volcanos caused a mass numbers of death and the first skeleton you encountered was a person trying to get to the fox and wake him up, you die on the black rock and the spirit grew so fond of you that he gave up his body for you, but the blue, glowing orb is his spirit still with you.

You know, I think it is more about taking part in the Story, leaving your own personal touch of kindness or learning or support behind. Not necessarily about being remembered as an individual. If you do your part of Maybe evolving your familys well-being, like overcoming generational 'inherited' Trauma for example, learning new Things to live a better life - be it for yourself or your Children. Like you did with discovering joy journaling… Doing something that matters to you and reaches others, inspiring them or giving them the confidence to do their part, do what they love and evolve their lives for the better. Be that telling stories on KZbin or doing art or growing a garden in your room. Whatever your personal Impact can and will be, if you do anything to evolve, you will be part of the Evolution of mankind. Even if the Things we do might not seem big from the outside and your Name will not be remembered in hundreds and hundreds of years, your Energy will become part of the bigger Story of humanity evolving. Thus your life will not be forgotten, even if your Name is, because you are part of the changes that will come after you. I think the small contributions Count just as much if not more if you put them together. I do not think it is too scary to someday be forgotten, if you feel like you have made the life of at least one Person a bit better while you were here. Change spreads from you through others to places and times you can not even imagine...

So, basically, When you tell down the cliff, you got very badly hurt, the second time you doesn't fell, you sadly died and then Spirit fox, put his spirit in yours so you can be alive again. This I think what happened! Hope it helps

There is a legend that there is a fox whose tail streaked the sky with color for people to follow and see. The color is the Aurora Borealis, I don’t know about the gams story but I think this is the fox that was in charge of the aurora borealis

the story from my perspective the fox was worshipped, and due to being worshipped he got enough power to love and help the people, but a volcano struck, and the foxes power was not strong enough to stop it. it killed his people and those who did not die, died of the freezing cold or old age after. the fox started to fade. and thats why he is like this now. his power faded and he is using all his power left in him to help the fox save them, letting their bodies go free, instead of being trapped in their bodies. that is what the fox is doing for his people , but due to this spirit being a ghost he cannot do it on his own. putting the staff next to their bodies is letting them go free. perhaps these staffs were the most meaningful thing in their lives, and acted like a key to unlock them. the fox has now realised what he must do, and so the spirit has put his soul into you, leaving only his words or light to guide you.
