No, their ears are too small, and their backs does not have the correct shape for an African elephant. Neither do they have tusks. Plus it's obvious it takes place in India, with the tigers, endless forests, bamboo, and lots of fruit. If they were trying to represent Africa they would likely use the classic savannah. Just saying, not trying to be rude, sorry if I come across as that way.

It wasn't a lioness it was a tiger, when you chose which direction to go to you chose the one that said to call all the elephants together when the striped one roars, if you had chosen the other path you would have seen the lions :)

I seriously wonder what the option “death that cannot be outrun” meant It sounds like a predator that can chase prey for long distances. A cursorial predator like a canid. The two “large” canids in India are the Indian wolf and the dhole The wolf fits the open environment of grassy meadows, and it is the more cursorial of the two species, but those in India primarily hunt antelopes like blackbucks. Their small hunting groups are not threatening to an elephant herd. While not as cursorial as wolves, dholes are still so. They hunt in large groups, and while usually hunting deer, they can bring down large prey, and hunt the young of even the fierce gaurs (huge cows). While I don’t think we have records of them hunting elephant calves in real life, I think they are the most likely choice due to their large packs. It’s a game after all, so there is certainly wiggle room from realism.

these are clearly Asian elephants as they have no tusks Most African female elephants have tusks where as Asians do not, also the fact that there are tigers also confirms that your in Asia some where, most likely India .so i am guessing what are being called wilder beast are actually buffalos
