Thank you Mr. Gore for always answering my questions. “But the children of Belial said, How shall this man save us? And they despised him, and brought him no presents. But he held his peace.” 1 Samuel 10:27 Kjv Do you know why the children of Belial felt this way about Saul?

'Children of Belial' was translated directly by the KJV. It was a colloquialism for something like 'worthless people' which is the way most newer translations render it.
