This completes a small portion of my plan to optimize the animal room. More to come, but I'm really excited to have this portion done... and in case you didn't put two and two together, I now have two empty plywood tanks. What should I do with them? Also, which one of these vivariums is your favorite? I probably like Henry's the best (the one on the right).

From personal experience, my geckos do drink from water bowls. While they do like to sip water from the leaves the water might dry up by the time they wake up. I always leave a water bowl to give them the option to drink and maintain humidity. I have caught them drinking from their bowls before.

I did that background technique for my brother's bearded dragons enclosure I made and it came out amazing. He can climb up both sides and the back and he loves it! It's a 4x2x2 wood enclosure. I have two golden geckos that recently laid eggs and I have a hard time optimizing humidity within the terrarium. I'm keeping up on misting them but they're currently in a small, 10 gallon high basic kit that I got when I picked them up from a friend's rescue. So, I intend to make a similar terrarium setup to yours so they have more space, better humidity and a more natural environment as opposed to the plastic plants and low lying perch areas. Already subbed, have been for some time and I really appreciate the in depth step by step because it means I can get an idea of how long it'll take. Thinking of asking my dad to assist and am looking forward to a fun project. Thanks for providing a basis for my next project!

Well done. Next time I build one, I'll be using the foam insulation board. Couple of tips...make sure to use food grade silicone. I forget which GE "version" it is, but it will say on the back of the tube. Personally, I would have put a bead around the edges to prevent any moisture from collecting behind the background.
