29894 State Rte 41, Peebles, OH 45660
Thomas Johnson has been researching and discovering specimens of Isotelus Trilobite, the Official State Fossil of Ohio, since 1978. His field work has been recognized by National Geographic and in 1985 the Smithsonian featured many of Tom's Trilobite discoveries in it's "Life in the Ancient Seas" Gallery. Many of those specimens have been viewed by over 200 million Smithsonian visitors! Since 1990 The House of Phacops Rock Shop has displayed the Thomas T. Johnson Trilobite Collection and the largest known example of the Isotelus Trilobite is on exhibit at the rock shop. Over the years Thomas has written 3 books and has given many lectures the subject of trilobites.
Tom & his wife Terri Rivera are the owners of The House of Phacops Rock Shop located just 3 miles from the ancient Serpent Mound. The area emanates a constant flow of positive energy as the rock shop sits on the Southeastern edge of a 5 mile wide, 200-400 million year old impact crater and on top of a miles deep 17.5 km long fault line. Tom has studied the diverse geology, magnetic anomolies, faults, and minerals in the impact crater area for over 40 years. With this intimate knowledge of the impact crater area he has given countless tours of the impact crater to people from all walks of life, including NASA scientist's, geologist's, researchers and studens from local universities. Join us as we take you on a personal tour of the Serpent Mound Impact Crater with Thomas Johnson!

I didn’t know about any of this till after I ran around all these mounds and crazy trails… my phone camera was doing things it’s never done before… I had taken pictures and videos and they didn’t save… my camera would go black for no reason and not be able to take pictures and videos. Very very strange I slept at the great seal and it lightening stormed all night there was lights going on and off.. I felt very afraid at fort hill… this happened at other mounds in other parts of Ohio.. I felt warm spots and all this I remember vividly feeling and saying that has never happened I’ve never felt that warm of a change like the sun was amplified in one spot.. then I started digging into this. lol

I'm very grateful for this video popping up in my youtube feed; I recently watched Randal Carloson's Kosmographia podcast about this Serpent mound and he noted that the serpent sort of corresponds to the layout of the close area within the crater. The head of the serpent lies on a rock which has a viper head shape, so the ridge behind it could be considered a natural continuation of a serpent body; I love you mentioning the "Underwater serpent" as well. I think it would be worthwhile for somebody to decipher various similarities of these land features around the mound, because I think there will be many cues not touched yet.

Wow, i never knew that much about the impact crater site, i kind of forgot about it actually, but i recall someone mentioning it on one of the older serpent mound videos as to the weird magnetic anomalies all around and i was really intrigued about it as we have a impact crater in ,i think, northwest Indiana, Illinois border area. I cant remember the name of the site, there is a small town nearby it,on the edge of the debris ring and interesting thing is there is a open mine in the center of the crater remnant. Thats really amazing to think that the one there in OH was a mile deep at one time. Ive been trying to get over there and see serpent mound for years but there's always something more pressing in responsibilities and work that i dont get time to travel.

This impact was post the Great Flood. 1000000 %. Thus removing this 250 million year talk. It sounds good. But it doesn't fit world history recored facts. The world was covered in water , they find these same shell fish on Mt. Everest. Rocks were also much softer , allowing them to absorb energy then differently from today. Today the rocks are hard like the hearts of the people. Silly but it's ture.
