With Trial by combat, it is always an honorable test of strength between the individuals to discern a conflict or decision. It's possibly the best way of figuring a dispute since time immemorial. For Serpico, enduring his loses honorably shows more about his character than someone who quickly gave into the despair... like a certain hawk we all know...

How is Serpico a simp btw? He refused Farnese's advances - something an average simp would never be even in that position. Furthermore many think Serpico's arc is finished after his final duel with Guts. But I still think he had an arc to finish with Farnese. Though guess we will never know now. Serpico is one of my favourtite characters as well, shame it will never continue.

I’ve just finished chapter 364, I can’t believe this is it, but if that’s how it ends with all 3 of them just looking at one another then so be it. What an amazing story, it really is my favourite story I’ve ever read.

My theorized ending is that Guts lost it & killed the others & himself after those scenes at the end of 364. I imagine it was all just a build up to that moment when Guts would realize there is truly no escape; Casca doesn't recover sanity, Farnese is not kept safe, Serpico & Azan gets wrecked by Guts & Shierke is wounded in etheric form, trying to maintain Guts during astral projection. Messed up, by I think it figures

That’s so sudden, I agree guts certainly isn’t going to stay calm, but he’s gone through so much, you think he’ll allow himself to hurt the people he loves now? I don’t think so. Guess it just goes to show you, no one could possibly do it like Miura.

Here’s an idea and it’s either the best idea anybody’s ever thought of or it’s the worst idea possible. Have alternate endings of beserk. Not remakes. But continuations of where the story of the original manga artist ended. Throughout the entire series there has been multiple highlights of the human condition and many different interpretations about those experiences. I definitely think that this could be a good point to start multiple timelines from the original ending into alternative continuations. Depending on the dedication from the publishers the illustrators and the directions of the Artisanal Team….. it could either be the best idea ever over the worst possibility. It’s not a bad business idea either. The one thing you can never compromise on is its atmosphere its underlying message because that is a very soul of beserk.

Serpico is awesome and is one of my favorites. Watching his character progression from when he was first introduced until now has been great. I really hope the manga is somehow able to continue. I really love your berserk videos btw. They’re always so eloquent and well put together.

My favorite male character that I can relate with. I prefer Serpico's over Guts style of fighting and living: he tries to prevent battle if it's possible but he is deadly when it's necessary. Guts usually starts battle ignoring everything else. He can put someone in danger because the war and fighting is his priority.

If the series had gone on, that Checkov's Behelette would have been his. He's basically the only logical and thematic choice. And he would have ended up being a super bad ass along the lines of Irvine/Roxis. I imagine he would be one of the most difficult Apostles to beat. That's probably why Miura was pushing him to the background so much. For impact. That's what I think anyways.

When he was looking for Farnese he could feel on his back all the demons going over there almost seeing them... When he got the magic clothes I was a natural because of how he was "feeling" magic... It's pretty whack how certain "fans" will call any male character a simp if he is committed to a female character and occasionally puts her needs before his own. It really shows the immaturity and lack of life experience that those readers have. It makes me question if they even have the intelligence necessary to appreciate the world of Berserk.
