@@santrichuumonster no one does 2 scans in the first 5 mins of the game, there are no invisible zerg units... ever. It's obvious how costly 2 mules are, in the early game, you don't have to overthink and analyze it!

I was rooting for Clem but I have to admit that this overlord squad of queens dropping creep on the map was a really creative play from Serral. Even if you don't particularly like Zerg you have to admit that Serral is an outstanding player

I'm a big Clem fan too, and normally feel Zerg is OP, but even I can't hate on that last run by Serral, I was watching him do that and was just like, "That has to be so annoying for Clem, but where's Serral going with that" and then Serral started dropping and messing up the eco and was like, brilliant!

He just copied the build of Erik and proved its extreme nastiness in skilled hands. Clem responded poorly he could have rushed raven and vikings to counter the build as he sees the lair. Taxing scans to deal with the tumors caused his economy to fall greatly behind, terran can't really afford so many scans early in the game, 2 scans equal to a cc lost.

Could someone explain to me why Clem didn't build some blue flame firebats in game 2 and 3 to tank and thin out the Lingbane? Are they not cost effective? Or is just that marine/tank is better in the long run?

from a plat zerg point of view: once I get enough ling band the hellbats melt to banes so easily and are so slow, and hellions are good for runbys but get caught by lings on creep. Ultimately if you have a bio army, it isn't synergistic to micro both marine ghost ( which move at once speed an thickness) an the hellions . In a mech army, the tank and thor clean up the clumps of units faster than the hellbats die though. Marines also in a clump can kill banes in a conga line, which means you can't assume your banes get their due to pathing issues and need more micro.

This is why I love wacky builds, iirc the Erik build is just strait up better than the current standard according to Serral. You get your pool & hatch quicker, and the strat is so early idk how your opponent can counter it w/o going nearly all in since its an opener.

Widow mines are such a shitty unit. And as usual, it has to be mentioned that Terran has everything on easy mode compared to Zerg. Imagine banelings catapulting out of the ground with range 6, or Overlord-Drops with activatble speed boost and heal... I have like 20 more comparisons Apart from that, both played well
