There was a GSL match recently where that happened with a corruptors skull and the observer centered it up so the camera literally went through the skull. Definitely a fun little easter egg on this map.

I think the implication was that SouL never really had the breathing room to fully max out and transition into upgrading his forces to a more technical late game composition including Liberators and mass Ghosts (he had a few, but was still mostly M&M). But yeah, it was pretty a hilarious comment.

Too big of a skill gap, which is the problem with Mutas. They move too fast and deal too much damage for the amount of health and healing that they have, but use them against a good player and Mines or Phoenixes take them out. Soul doesn't have the multitasking to pump out mines and place them while managing the rest of the map. I loved watching Maru shot down Serral's Mutas in the last game I watched with them, though; it was comical how little damage they were able to do.

Re 20:23, three Banelings is NOT enough to kill a Ghost! Because Ghosts lack the "light" attribute, Banelings only do 16(+2) damage, versus the 35(+4) that they do to Marines, Hellions, Reapers, SCVs, and MULEs. If both sides have 3/3 upgrades, then Banelings do 21 damage to Ghosts, 20 to Marauders, and 44 to Marines. This means that Banelings need 5X direct impacts to kill a Ghost (cost: 150/125), 6X to kill stimmed Marauders (cost: 100/25), or just barely more than 1X to kill stimmed Marines (brings them to 1 HP; cost: 50/0). This illustrates why Banelings, costing 50/25, can devastate clumped, cornered, or improperly micro'd Marines (cost: 50/0), killing multiple per detonation; why Banelings can trade at even or better cost-efficiency with groups of 2+ expensive Ghosts (cost: 150/125), assuming the Ghosts can be cornered at all; and why Banelings are almost never cost-effective against the cheaper and tankier Marauders, whose size typically prevents them from clumping densely enough for each Baneling to impact 4+ Marauders, not to mention that partial kills are healed for energy, and that each Concussive Shells shot typically mitigates one incoming Baneling. Strategically, Banelings seem to rarely do cost-effective direct damage against properly micro'd units, and obtain the majority of their value from the indirect impact of forcing spreading and retreats that break up the enemy's firing concave, enabling other units to take favorable engagements, such as when a Marine retreat enables Zerglings to attack Marauders and overrun the Siege Tank lines. Without Baneling splash, tightly packed Marine balls would be darn near unstoppable DPS machines.

If you guys think about it tho, a good number of libs actually hard counter mass muta, since they did derive from sc1's valkyrie (the de facto hard counter to mutas) Once mutas in the air are gone, you can keep them around to either support the marines or harass mineral lines (tho unlikely if we're talking serral here) You could say mines can keep mutas honest, but they're quite slow and are volatile

yes they can. they have to bleed out the zerg. I've seen Maru and Clem do it. Probably other Terrans too. But if the question is does anyone stand a chance if Serral has half the map? Probably no.

You should just remind yourself that a single mine will easily kill like 30 lings or banelings and 2 will kill 20 mutas. The entire mutalingbane composition is countered by a like 6 mines which cost almost nothing. And taking them out as a zerg is pretty much a combined arms military operation. And also tanks and marines will kill tonns of anything. And thors will blast all the mutas out of the sky. Terran unit roster is filled with imbalanced units so Serral breaking them with god-like macro and decision making is impressive.
