She was made to seem weak in the beginning, that was the point of her character. That being nice and gentle makes you seem weak, but when it comes to the things she loves, the kindness and her loving-persona doesn’t make her weak, but it makes her strong. I freaking love Sersi.

This edit makes me cry. Sersi have loved the Earth and people since the day she arrived and she’s protecting it because it’s the most natural thing to do. Also, Ikaris loved and will always love Sersi who loves the Earth, so he couldn’t harm but protect her in the end.

Thena’s message to Sersi applies to all of the eternals and everyone else; the eternals who tried to stop the emergence protected the lives that live on earth. Sersi tried to protect everyone along with other eternals from the devastation that will be brought upon by tiamut, Gilgamesh protected and looked after Thena for centuries because he loves her unconditionally, Phastos tried his best to conduct an approach to the emergence, Ikaris protected Sersi and hesitated to kill her because he loves her. Thena’s (or technically Gilgamesh’s message) was POWERFUL and TRUE. LOVE IS ALL ABOUT CARING, PROTECTING, AND NURTURING. The movie is one of the best marvel movies because of its message.

As much I liked Sersi from the comics being a the fun, outgoing socialite and at times she often comes across as a Mary Sue in the movie.. this portrayal is really beautiful and Gemma brings so much heart to the character - my favourite MCU hero!

@Jermare I think she definitely doesn’t take herself too seriously, but I would say she’s that much of a socialite or party girl, she is kind of only there for Dane and is fixated on him rather than actually drinking, dancing and partying like Sersi from the comics. She’s more reserved in the movie

For my opinion, Sersi(Circé) was renowed being the Goddess of Witchcraft and Mystic Arts. Thus her power hasn't yet been told. MAYBE she can transcend her Matter Transmutation through air, using it as a medium to her advantage.

Ajak chose sersi not only because they have the same views towards humans and earth, but she also chose her because she’s obviously the right choice, she’s the new matriarch of the team and she is the only one who would have continued her plan on stopping the emergence. As Thena had said, she’s the first one to love humans since the day they arrived, she’s the first one to care for humans among the eternals. For me, she’s the first one among the eternals who had a nature just like a human. The rest were focused on their mission, but she was focused on caring for earth and those in it.
