Completely locking the last Ascensions is still weird to me. Like, they were doing fine with Douman and Oberon, you could still level them up and use them, you just had to wait to see the final arts! Now instead the Servants are left half-baked until you reach a certain point in the story! It's just weird in principle, let alone the fact MonCri switches to his Final Ascension in his NP anyway (and the fact his other Ascensions are superior anyway)!

For repeatable content he is only better if you need Refund with an ST to farm the node otherwise he loses the 20-40% atk up aoe and the Bonus dmg oberon gives for raids and Ordeal 1T nodes.

Someone was asking in chat if he powercreeps Kagekiyo: I'd say not exactly - Though they have the exact same attack stat, Monsieur le Comte can hit higher damage because he also has a quick steroid to go along with the same attack up %age and the same max multiplier from his NP's damage mod, and it's probably easier to get more out of that damage mod than from Kagekiyo's "Thirst for Vengeance". He also has an advantage in having a bigger battery. However, he is perhaps less survivable; whilst he does have that hilarious stun, his only other survivability is a 2x 3T invincible and 3x 3T debuff immune, to Taira's 2x 3T evade + 3T 3K guts + buff strip. Buff strip vs pierce invuln is a constant question, and frankly depends entirely on the fight in question (remember, Kagekiyo also takes their offensive buffs). In all honesty, I think Kagekiyo's going to remain the better soloer generally speaking thanks to the guts, but Monsieur le Comte is going to be stronger of the two when in a team (because he can get more batteries to spam his NP more, thus making better use of the stun)

I love that he’s got such a good alt with he OG form kinda being only a farmer at this point. However, this NP is disgusting. It literally has everything you could want the on the NP. Invul pierce, guaranteed stun, AND a self enabled power mod. You’d think that he’d have gimped gains to make up for the broken NP to balance him like Scathach since they clearly didn’t go with a non-guaranteed stun like Kama or Medusa Saber. BUT NO, for some reason he has insane gains. Like, he basically de-values ever single ST DPS in the game, and I’m happy for Dantes fans. But like, they really didn’t balance this guy at all.

Due to summer Skadi synergy, I feel like he powercreeps Van Gogh for boss stages. Guaranteed stun when needed (Gogh stun gamble on three turns) and he can make up the crit damage. So essentially a Van Gogh but NP actually does damage. Double Van Gogh only outclasses in situations like bosses having sidekicks (team wide terror unlike Dantes) or situations where you need multiple turns (double Gogh can sustain crit forever)

For YEARS my biggest complaint about Edmond is that there should be absolutely NO REASON for him to be fragile considering his lore. Honestly, I wouldn't necessarily call him a better Jalter. While it is true that he's going to be a better unit usually because of the stun and higher NP Damage because of the SE, Jalter still has a lot of big edges of her own, namely the fact that she will usually be able to reach higher damage benchmarks because she doesn't actively prevent the enemy from attacking, and her crit damage is usually going to be higher.

Who's more worth rolling for, generally speaking? Cooler Dantes or Taira? I'm aware about them not really sharing the same niche, but I feel like only investing in on of these ST Quick guys. I'm sure Taira still does better under a survivability pov, but Cooler Dantes is so cracked that he might just take the cake anyway. Lorewise I really like them both, so it's kind of a stalemate. Not sure what to do with this one...

Cooler Dantes is straight up the best ST servant in the game, no questions asked, unless the enemy is both burn and stun immune. I am not even sure Taira is better on survival, his NP gain is great and delay on NP is way more spammable than on a skill.

Every servant is different and has their own niche. Worth it is something only you can decide. He ramps up extremely high damage wise against bosses, and covers team defense in quick teams very well, plus quick crits are better than arts crits. In pure farming Summer Castoria's anti-traits and 70% battery make her insane, and NewDantes being debuff reliant, and hurts him as damage doesn't ramp up very well for that first NP (I mean, it's still one of the top neutral DPS even turn 1, but it isn't totally powercreep everyone like his turn 2 and beyond damage are)

No, far from it. You can just pick him from the sup list if you ever need him, she is better For killing ST waves in 3T farming and also Raids/ST farm on Ordeal. He is good to summon if you have no ST with 50% charge or one that refunds Like Avenger Erice since he isn't really the best at anything for repeatable content. And Altria Caster Summer is both good for refund and has the 50% charge.

It is kinda worse than the original? Like normal can 6-slot with summer skadi but is worse than arts options. New one is worse than other 50% charge STs but is good for CQs. Depends what you care more about I think the new one is better to have since his role has less servants that can replace him overall. But the normal one can be used in way more content and more often so technically older one is better
