Love James. He’s super charming and so thoughtful. Miami was great from this fan’s pov. Always glad when James is commenting a match-definitely takes the experience up a level. Miss him playing tennis though. ❤

Guys, love you both, but it needs to be said to the tennis media establishment (you), that tennis isn't "better," which the two of you both point out when lamenting homogenized surfaces. Rafa friendly grass? Really? Just wow. That situation plain sucks for folks who really love the game. Anyway, fantasy match-ups are fun enough, but they aren't real, and what is obviously true is that some players of the past were better than some players today, and that some players today are better than some players of the past. It has always been that way; it's that way now; and it will always be that way. We can never know what, say, Budge would have done with Luxilon, carbon fiber, trainers, "phisios", et al, or even just shorts! The sport "improving" might be an easy sell, but it's just plain lazy to rehearse that instead of getting the message out about ALL of the ways tennis is truly great, one of which is a rich history that deserves respect. Tennis is the greatest sport, period. It doesn't need to be "improving."

While Blakey is a terrific bloke, the Miami open has been killed by moving out of Crandon Park on to the joke that is Hard Rock stadium Americans need to realize : bigger is not equal to better. Crandon had a soul which cannot be replicated in the corporate dome of Hard Rock

@@al1976-v7m it’s a beautiful place right by the Miami coast In fact this shell of a hard rock stadium is more “out of Miami” (you see it on the drive into Miami proper) compared to the old stadium

@@sachinpaul2111 yeah i can imagine. It's like the difference between vintage baseball stadiums such as Wrigley or Fenway and soulless modern ballparks. I read the family who owned the complex demanded that no changes be made to it, and the tournament organizers wanted to stay there but could not reach an agreement with them? Are the facilities somewhat run-down there? I know the courts were very slow, which is why my countryman Thomas Muster was doing pretty well there.

Players should adapt. Why make everything the same. The greats were able to adapt. It should be different otherwise you have the same small group winning everything

Zverev was on Stadium throughout that year so it couldn't have been him. Kyrgios was on Court 1 in doubles on Saturday the 24th, and on Stadium Sunday the 25th. The seeds on Grandstand with at least one Masters title that day were Sock (2017 Paris) and Berdych (2005 Paris). Kyrgios was on Stadium again on Tuesday the 27th while Sock and Berdych were on Grandstand again separately. The next day he played and lost to 4th seed Zverev on Stadium, which I don't think was a controversial placement.
