I think osaka prime is past, just to many big hitters in the game who can go toe to toe with her power baseline game.

Love the pod, but please ask guests not to use their AirPods for audio. This guest has good content but his audio quality is brutal. Like if you agree!

So informative! I now fully understand why tennis on television has become , and live large-scale sports in general are just this side of intolerable. Don’t care about celebrities. Don’t want to listen to music during the event. Don’t care about players’ reaction shots when the point is over. Don’t want to see endless shots of the players’ boxes. Don’t want to see close ups of the players’ faces when they serve. Cringe at every on-court interview. All of this is a series of distractions, designed to market the game to people who just don’t know or care anything about it. Orchestrated by a man whose sole focus is “entertainment,” with the actual tennis just an afterthought, a pretext for all the really “good stuff.” I want to see the actual tennis, enhanced by all available technology, and commentary that helps me understand the game better. Instead, during the point, all we get is the same overhead view from 60 years ago that shows nothing more than the players’ position on the court and the direction of the ball. Andy! You’ve said so many times that you hate this too! Why didn’t you grill him about this? I’m concerned about you Andy. I’m afraid that all the time you’re spending with Wertheim is starting to dumb you down.

Brian might be the 1st out gay male player, but he's no longer the only one. Jan Michael Gambill has a husband.

Loved the behind the scenes discussions and how excited Andy gets in reliving and/or discovering things even he didn't know was happening. Great work team!

This is very inspirational. I can’t imagine all the details that go into planning such a spectacular event.

I respect a man who can admit when he made a mistake. (Turning down Taylor swift is crazy but I get it)

The Serena retirement ceremony felt forced and over the top. I hated it. Tennis players aren't heroes. Serena didn't save the world. She retired as one of the greatest female tennis players of all time. Give her a classy send-off.

And she’s American. Hence why she was celebrated at the US Open.

Enough of life is monotonous, why not have some over the top events. We won't see another Serena Williams for a long time I suspect.

This kinda shows a bit of American bias of these podcasts. A grand slam is a global event. Not an 'American' event. It may be encouraging for American Tennis that people are taking interest. But as a neutral, this was the worst major of the year. Most poor quality of matches.

Didn’t Roddick give Coco the magic pill on her serve? Is a weekend all it takes to change a stroke that has radical flaws? Or is this just drive-by “coaching”? Sampras has also claimed to have magical ability for massive serve power increases? Could I please get a list of all the players they improved dramatically?

Andy knows the truth as to "why" Coco and Osaka are switching coaches, but he won't call a spade a spade because of the scandal that would result.

Loved the discussion with Stacy. Because of guests like these is why I enjoy this pod so much. Behind the scenes look at things/issues ( like Andy said ), where many of these guests would never sit down for an hour discussion. Looking forward to Chris Eubanks' discussion as well as hearing about the "Production" side of the US Open. Great stuff as always from Andy and the Team !!
