Server is the most clean OS and personally suggest anyone looking to reinstall to install Server either Windows Server 2022 (If you like windows 10) or Windows Server 2025 (If you like Windows 11) very minimal os that are perfect for gaming. Awesome video chris as always!

@@---jk1sc its a little cleaner some things are auto stripped like restore point and xbox stuff and overall cleaner but LTSC is still good and yeah pretty much almost no difference just cleaner on server side.

I think one reason for Server giving good results in gaming is because it’s default Processor Scheduling. It has a Long (fixed) Quantum time. For ”regular versions” windows using short quantum, unless you change the registry.

I have an interesting question . If the deleting wlms monitoring hack works to prevent server from going into shutdown after evaluation expire , for someone who has no plans on getting a license , what state is better to leave server in , evaluation or converted to full. Also , when converted , will it still shutdown for no license. Thank you for your time friend . Don.

I do this on my nitro its pretty straight forward same as desktop I just cycle between 2 power plans (1 on battery and 1 plugged in) on my multitask install and my I treated my gaming install on my laptop the same as I did on my main pc

AMD started to block driver installs on server on consumer cards, you can modify the inf files but it's a pain in the head to do that over and over.
