Service and Maintenance of Vintage Tissot New Timer - 2581 Automatic Movement

This vintage Tissot new timer came for service which had Tissot 2581 caliber in it. Watch was stuck in hand-winding position and crown was not being pulled out for time setting, however the watch was running. Movement was little dirty and it turned out pretty neat and clean after cleaning the parts.
After service, the watch was running with very good amplitude at 300 degrees plus and there was not positional error as well.

A master craftsman at work. Such a complex movement disassembled and reassembled so easily.By the way, did you put the screw on the crown wheel after fixing the automatic works or just left it with one screw as before?

Hi, thank you for your kind words. Crown wheel’s second screw come from the automatic bridge. The middle screw on automatic works bridge is little longer than the other two. That screw goes all the way through automatic bridge and screws in to the crown wheel. You can see it at 21:44 where I rectified the screw of crown wheel and the other screws holds it from above the automotic bridge.
