My AMG (GLC43) has two cabin air filters. One inside the vehicle on the passenger side and another under the hood overtop the battery. You remove the plastic battery cover and hovering above the battery is a plastic frame holding another filter...Not many people know about this one!

Man, I’m new to your channel, but I’ve watched almost every amg vid you’ve made over the last two days. I’ve had a 2011 e63 amg for about a year and you’ve given me the confidence to actually do some work on it myself. I’ve worked on cars plenty of times, but this car is one of those that feels almost sacrilegious to even think about taking a wrench to. Keep up the awesome content!

Thanks for watching and leaving your comment. I’m glad to hear you are finding my context helpful. And you can definitely work on your e63! 👍🏽

a tip on the brake bleeding, you're gonna want to bleed all four calipers starting with the farthest from the brake master cylinder (where you pour in more fluid ) . to the closest . this way you get a complete flush .

Thank you for sharing! I received a quote today, from my local Mercedes-Benz dealership for Service B on my S550, and it totaled over $700. I thought that was quite expensive, which is how I found your page while looking for more information-I'm glad I did! Although I won't be attempting the service myself, I plan to purchase the parts and have my Mercedes-Benz certified mechanic handle the rest. #subscribed.
@mikea22374 ай бұрын
I can tell you that service B from the dealership cost me $712-and that's with a $100 discount. Parts were $200 and change, but labor costs were over $400.

My advice to anyone with a modern engine. Change the oil regularly - synthetic every 6-8k miles at most. Lots of systems relying on clean, good oil.

Home serviced with Delphi or Bosch parts, A service 60, B, 90 euro. 500, and 800 at Mercedes and they actually break stuff. 56 euro, TRW camber arm. 220 Euro, Mercedes. Plastics or trim parts? Take OEM. Mechanical parts, go for a known quality aftermarket. Older model? Most are refurbished OEM parts no matter what the name.

Thanks for taking the time to make this. I'm getting ready to do my Service B on my 2010 E63. And at the same time, I'm searching for my "air leak" in the Airmatic system. I just had the compressor replaced and it's working but there's a leak somewhere.
@DriveTalkCars2 жыл бұрын
Glad I could help! Have you tried changing the air springs? I had a leak in one of my air springs and replaced it (well both of them). Video -> kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4LXcpimnKqKotk
@DCogs12 жыл бұрын
@@DriveTalkCars @DriveTalkCars This is where I'm at...my thinking is that if it was one of the rear air springs, then I would get the message of either left/right side not getting to the right level. But...I'm just guessing. So I'm thinking it's a leak somewhere else. Is my logic wrong?

A service properly done is much more than that. Its a total inspection of suspension, drive train , brakes( remove tires and inspect inner pads also ) belts and pulleys. Coolant test , brake fluid test. Check fluids. Lube hinges ,function test wipers and jets , align jets. Cabin filter and fuel injector additive. Older cars , 112 , 113 , literally remove plugs and check at least 1. Rotate and balance tires if needed. A properly done Service B takes a least 2.5 hours. Its not an oil and cabin filter change.

Thank you for your feedback. Per Mercedes Benz there are two services, A and B. These services occur every 20k miles or 2 years and basically alternate between Service A and Service B throughout the ownership of the car. So based on the service interval schedule that I used, service B at 10yrs/100k is the same as service B for 4yrs/40k. Now at 100k+ there is definitely more that could be wrong or checked. But I was just trying to show the service items as per the dealerships Service B schedule as I knew it. Thanks again for the comment and watching!
