and they missed the biggest point. what caused the fuse to blow? fuses do not blow because they are old.

What a load of rubbish! Our dealer couldn't work out that it was a $70 relay that stopped the fan working on the radiator of my ML55 (we had a few relays fail over the life of the car). The result, the car overheated in traffic & had to be towed. Merc dealer destroyed the radiator & then wanted to charge 13K to fix the problem. We bought the car home, replaced the radiator & parts damaged by the dealer & the relay. Cost $500 + tows. Hubby now does most repairs himself.

I have a c230 that did the same thing. I put a used and updated part out of a newer MB. I'm pretty sure the washer fluid bottle leaks and shorts the end of the fan delay wire harness.

Hi I work in a car dealer as well, good video but you left out key infomation like what blew the fuse ? and what circut the fuse was for. It was probably the coil ignition circut fuse in which case the coils the outside shop replaced was probably half the fix. Nice shop super clean.

Before I purchased my SLK 350, I had an S-Type Jaguar. I made the mistake of thinking the main dealers were experts too, as this mechanic professes to be. Never have I known such exuberent servicing costs, incompetence and shoddy workmanship. So, it's not necessarily the case that main dealers deliver a better service.

Don't mean to laugh ...but you made your point in excellent fashion. Currently looking at picking up an 06 with check engine light on. Was considering a shop..now I think I'll reconsider and go to dealer. Thanks for your video.

Hello sir.. So I have a question for you. I have a 04 Mercedes SL500. I woke up drove to the store parked. Came back and didn't start on me. I found out that the battery was weak so I put a cable charger on it for 2 minutes n got it start. Now, the check engine light came on. How do I fix that.?? Please reply me back thanks.

not all Mercedes dealerships have compatant ppl. never go to Mercedes Benz of Henderson, (nv)after winning a case against the car dealership I bought my s500 from they conveniently didn't include labor on estimate so I was awarded the price for the part only and had to come out of pocket almost 1k because of this. My mechanic a small shop owner warned me but the Mercedes dealership assured me my mechanic was wrong and I listened to them because they were the dealership. never again.

HALLO! I have a Mercedes e280 2006 gasoline and the p2090 y49 / 7 (right camshaft exhaust solenoid ) diagnostics, the engine light is on. When the car is cold and ignites the engine, heavy sound is heard for a few seconds and then gains quietness. I pass the solenoid sensor and the motor chain tensioner and as a result the cold flashing noise is easier, diagnosis with p 2090 displays component y49 / 7( right camshaft exhaust solenoid ) has short circuit to grund,And the engine light returns. With your experience you can tell me why this is happening and what can I do. RESPECT

Hello I am here in California. But could use your assistance. My wife has a 2009 Mercedes E350 - (2 issues) My wife's car is experiencing a high speed CAN communication bus performance error (U0002) came up. Might you know the fix for this problem? Next issue is hard shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear and back down when coming to a stop there is a violent jolt when its shifts down. I may try and reprogram the transmission.

So funny good video, but when you drop car in Mercedes dealer. He starts with o my god check engine light, after 10 problems and scary, don't worry 98.99$ per hour . We are fix. If change fuses they tell you we are rebuilt your engine to check light.
