That's why I won't get married until AFTER I leave the military. I would be constantly worried about my wife cheating on me and I would most likely only be coming back the same time every year, so if she did cheat, she,d know how to time it to where I couldn't prove it.

I know an old military wife who told me that back when her and her husband were in base housing another wife would call her husband in middle of the night to come "help" her with something. Im talking 2am with a ridiculous reason that only he could fix. Every time her husband would wake up their three year old daughter and take her with him because the little girl was a absolute mama's girl and tattletale so would tell the truth if anything happened. The other wife was reported for doing that and later got kicked out of base housing. She apparently did that to several other married men while her husband was deployed.

I was US Army Military Police for 4 years - I have stories. My favorite Military Wife story is a full bird colonel's wife was caught shop lifting. We had a unmarked police car in back waiting to take her to the PMO. Soon as she said 'You can't do this to me, I'm Col X's wife!' We decided that she was right, so we slapped handcuffs on her and did a slow walk all the way around the PX making as much noise as we could on the way to the marked cruiser out front.

@MAGAT slayer In some regions, it is indeed a felony to make a false rape accusation, even if withdrawn. Unfortunately, it is not the same everywhere. Today's, "unique," society and the customs it has developed has made me become an outside observer. I have little desire to be part of it socially. Doctors say it is not healthy to be reclusive. They may, or may not, be correct. But it is a certainty that being socially part of today's society is, indeed, very harmful. I make no friends nor a girlfriend for fear of being used, betrayed, victimized, or being accused of something I will never do. Right before I socially isolated myself, I was being accused of being racist, which is near impossible for me since I am a just mongrel, as disparaging as it may sound. Then those I believed my friends became very hateful with me, including my girlfriend. They wanted to follow the herd and make me into a racist over someone I had never even met. They used, betrayed, and painfully abandoned me then tried to get back into my life about a month after the cruel detrayal and abandonment. That is when I socially isolated myself, moved to working nights, disconnected my telephone, moved, only recently reconnected my telephone service as minimal and optionless as possible. I do not need to be a part of such a hateful, evil, cruel, society. But I guess I could have a friend and enemy all in one.

OH MY GOD. This is so true. I had one lady in Germany try to deliberately walk into me with scolding hot coffee because I was walking and on my phone (I was on a break and the concessionaire I worked in didn't have service in it). If I hadn't looked up right in time, I would've had hot coffee all over me. The worst part about it is that when I looked up and moved out of her way, instinct told me to say sorry and I did of course. Her stuck up self had the nerve to just look at me and say "mhm" in the most condescending way. It's so easy to just spot the difference between an officer's wife and an enlisted's wife because almost every officer's wife is stuck up, but not all of them.

I heard a story from a salty GySgt back when I was a little PFC about the wives of some of the Marines during the second battle of Fallujah. He told me that in 2004, a group of spouses got caught running a brothel out of base housing and were arrested. This was at the height of the battle and the Marines were taking heavy casualties so knowing their support was gone in such a fucked up way would have broken their spirits. The command kept quiet and didn’t inform the Marines about the arrests until the fighting was over in order to keep their minds on battle. I can’t imagine how fucked up they must have been when they got the news.

Knew a girl who got pregnant in AIT after own first weekend off. Drill Sergeant demanded she point out who she slept with over the weekend. She pointed out 6 black soldiers in training. WOW! What the hell! Another different girl slept with me one night over the weekend. We went through Basic training together, her always in front of me (her last name was McNair, mine Miller.) She rubbed her ass on me every morning in Breakfast line, and any time she could without getting caught. After basic, we both had AIT at Ft. Lee, VA. So, when she found me at the mall during our first weekend off, it was game on! But the next weekend, she had a man on each arm. I joked, telling her it takes 2 men to fill my shoes (I am very well endowed). She grinned and begged me to join them. We ran a train on her all weekend. Her butthole was so red and puffy. Her vagina was swollen shut. By the end, she rotated sucking us off, face and hair full of spunk. She loved it. I never looked at her smile the same again. She would find other guys to join us. I half fell in love with her. We DID just go complete a rewarding chapter of our life. Had amazing sex always. But after AIT, she went to Minnesota, I went to Alabama. Im sure she made someone a happy housewife! Hahaha. I was the youngest person in my class, having joined at 17, went through Basic and AIT less than a month after my birthday. Those experiences really shaped my view on relationships, probably women, destroyed any sexual innocence. But, I try to be Mr Brightside. Had a ton of fun, made great friends, and hold amazing memories than many men would envy.

So this happened to my best friend unfortunately. He married a woman after being together with her for a couple years and joined the army. He ended up getting deployed to Iraq and was there for almost a year if I'm not mistaken. Anyways by the end of his tour when he came home his stuff was out of the house that he had purchased his wife had filed for divorce and had his best friend living with her in the house. Worst yet was later on we discovered that his best friend was taking all of his money out of his bank account while he was overseas trying not to die. It gets worse... Him and his wife had a daughter together and he stayed with me when he got back because he had nowhere to go. I told him he should be trying to visit his daughter because that will help in divorce to show that he is trying to initiate the relationship with his family. His daughter was only 6 years old when he left and now was around 8 if I'm not mistaken. Anyways he keeps telling his soon-to-be ex-wife that he wants visitation and she keeps denying it. Almost 2 years later he finally gets visitation after the divorce was finalized only to find out that the daughter had been told that he was killed at war and she did not even know he was alive until only a few months before he was reunited with her. This caused enormous amounts of emotional issues with her because not only did she think her dad had died at war for years but she then realized he's alive and her mom is a lunatic who has destroyed her father's life and is living with her father's friend. But wait there's more... When he got back from war she told him that his stuff was in a storage unit. All of his things were in there personal things firearms and collectibles everything was in there. She told him she would only tell him where the storage unit was if he signed the divorce papers giving her the house and the car and her retaining the spousal benefits from the military. He refused and she held her word to be true and never told him where the storage unit was until it was auctioned off and all of his things were lost. How she told him was sending him a picture of the auction flyer showing his things that were for sale the day after the auction. As much as my friend went through with that lunatic I will say that he did learn his lesson and found it much better person the second time around. As for myself I learned a lot from it as well and I actually made my now wife wait 10 years before we got married. I wanted to date her long enough to make sure she wasn't in that bag.

Also, I’ve seen/heard military wives disrespect the foreign country they’re stationed in, the locals that work on/off base, the customs, traditions, etc. If higher ups knew what was going on, the husbands would be in a lot of trouble. I married my hubby just 6 months after his divorce was final. My dad was his divorce counselor (my dad was a Chaplain; hubby was in Intel & would lose his security clearance if he went to a therapist), and once got a call from his soon to be ex wife that "my husband is fucking some teen slut" when she found out he was dating again, but she didn't know "who" I was. My mom married my dad when he was still in the military, and she lived on base. Things that she knew about: -There was a wife whose husband was gone for a year. He came back and she was pregnant. - There was a girl who was like 17 or something living with a guy 5+ years older than her. She kept house for him and stuff while he was gone, and my mom thinks it was sexual too. Gross Basically, it was a bunch of married women without their husbands who were all really young. Like, my 24 year old mom was the old one.

I was Air Force. Came home early from a deployment with a buddy. Stopped off at his house, walked into the front door and plopped down on the couch. He walks into his bedroom and his wife and 'Jod'y were laying in their bed sound asleep. Best part: My buddy doesnt ssy a word. Grabs his camera and takes several shots of them both. Eases the door closed and I guess they never heard a thing. He's seething, but he holds it together. We both go down the street where he lets me in on everything that just happened. Files for divorce that week, gets her booted off the base within a few months, and gets primary custody of his kids. Jody was in our squadron, and gets an Article-15. My uncle was career Army back in the 1960's. He and the family traveled all over the world. I remember when they came back from Germany the kids could barely speak English anymore. When Kennedy sent advisers to Vietnam in the mid 1960's he was one of them. He had a plan that he would stay there for 8 years and retire from the Army and those last 8 years with combat and overseas pay would get them set up for retirement. A couple years later his wife my aunt, was shacking up with a guy who lived in the same neighborhood. Every time my uncle would take leave and come home the guy moved out and when he went back he moved back in. Then the Army came up with a bonus if you reenlisted for combat duty. They gave you a 1 month leave to start your next tour and it didn't count against your leave time. Uncle never told the wife about it and went home at Christmas to surprise everyone. And did he ever.

Not a spouse, but the kid of a US Navy member, and the worst people I've witnessed was while my family was stationed in Japan a few years ago. It was a Navy wife and her little nightmare of a kid. this was your classic bully kid who terrorized all the families in their apartment complex (thank god i didnt live in that building) mostly through doorbell ditching (which doesnt sound that bad until you realize that many of these people were night shift sailors who were trying to sleep), pushing all the buttons on the already slow elevators, and just bullying the kids in general. His mom didnt care at all. The last straw was the mom going on to facebook and insulting the base commander. When they were told they would be kicked off base, she straight up told him that they couldn't do that (Spoiler: they can and they did.) I don't know how the husband was, but he had to stay behind in Japan.

The military really isn’t a great reflection of healthy relationships. The stereotype of new recruits marrying the first woman who’ll take them is true, and by nature those women are looking for a pay check and military benefits. That one comment was right, the military is full of poorly educated horny teenagers who marry the first opportunity they can, and that’s never a good idea. The sort of woman who’ll marry you after four months when you’re immediately gonna leave for abroad is not the sort of woman you should be associating with let alone marrying

Phones shut down, River City, but 1st Sgt let me use the iridium to call my wife as long as I promised not to say anything about the kia. Wife was drunk, asking permission to date someone from class(college) because she was lonely. I told her you do whatever you think you have to do, but there will be consequences when I get home. Dude I know this is a old story but it brings up a memory. I was taking some classes in between deployments and met a cute little thing in one of my classes. She came on to me hard when she found out I was a jarhead. Anyway I ended up back at her place one evening and she very quickly got naked pushing for sexy time. I found out while looking around that not only was she married but her husband was deployed. I'd be lying if I said little head wasn't trying to do my thinking for me but I shot her down. She insisted her husband was cool with it and she could "date" while he was deployed. After losing some brothers after that happened to them I wasn't going to do the same to someone else. I ended up telling her that her hall pass was no good with me and I bounced. Thankfully she stopped talking to me after that. She almost convinced me that she had permission, but I think that was just lack of blood to the brain at the moment. I doubt our stories are related but if they by some long shot are you can know I said no.

There are the usual ones about the boyfriends' trucks appearing in the driveway before the ship clears the mouth of the harbor, but saddest one I ever heard of happened in Pearl Harbor in the early 90s. I knew the guy as the neighbor of a buddy of mine, seemed nice enough but you could tell from across the street the marriage was troubled. You know the saying about Happy Wife =Happy Life, well this gal was like a dark storm cloud in human form, but I didn't really know them and who knows what goes in behind closed doors, though later on it came out things got physically violent. They divorced in the fall and she went back to Florida and he got custody of their 2 little girls. A month later, it was all over the base that the younger kid disappeared from her room during the night and those of us who knew them thought the mother might have been behind it or gotten someone to do it. Hundreds of people mobilized to search for the little girl, but a couple hours into the search, it was called off--the kid's body was found floating in Pearl Harbor near the ferry landing in a locked seabag, and the father was in custody. At the trial the ex wife said she thought he husband killed their daughter because she looked like her, but in those days there had to be serious issues with the mother for the dad to get custody so I took her statements with a grain of salt. It's my personal opinion just from observation they married too young and had kids too soon and the stress of going though a nasty divorce and trying to maintain a Navy career as a single dad was overwhelming for him. The little girl was one of those fussy children, and I think he had one of those moments where it was late, he was exhausted, the kid wouldn't stop crying, and in desperation he put his hand over her mouth to make the noise stop and overdid it...and instead of calling 911 or a neighbor, he panicked and concocted the kidnapping story that fell apart as soon as NCIS began their investigation. He was really isolated, we all knew him to wave at but no one really knew him. He must have felt like he had no one to turn to. I don't know if it would happen today, the Navy's gotten a lot better at handling these situations and preventing them before they start but in 1993 there weren't many resources for a guy like him. I went to Japan the next year and I never found out what happened. I think he got life in prison. There are far worse people out there that get far less but military justice is harsh.

I had a friend, was a little buggy. She took medicine, and was generally a little unhappy with her life. She was from south Carolina, and her father was the typical regligous guys. He told his daughter, she had two weeks to find a job, and get out, when she graduated. He, and her best friend decided to get married instead. She met this guy, and she set up her brother with her best friend. Within weeks she was pregnaant, as was her best friend. Having a family to support, her husband, and her best friend's husband (Her brother.) joined the Army. After finishng boot, her husband was shipped out to Germany and was gone a long time. My friend said when her husband was coming back from Germany she was so scaried. He had be gone longer then she knew him before they were married. She said I was so young, and dumb. I was hardly grown up, and now this man was coming back, who she didn't really know. About this time, her brother was coming back too, and he was murdered by a drive by shooting. The military Police figured it out real quick. While her brother was away, her best friend got a new boyfriend. Together, they plotted to murder her husband. This is such a common occurance that the military police figured it out in days. So, my friend told me she felt guilty for indirectly getting her brother murdered. Her family were strict, religous conservatives, and she looked good on the surface. In real life, she and her friend were hitting the bars, picking up man since they were fourteen. Her husband, and her brother were gulible patsy that they had manipulated into getting them pregnant. It was obvious, all she reallly did was manipulate herself, into having three children before she was twenty four. All I she was un happy with her life, but never admitted it. On the surface she was a good Christian woman with nice family. Secretly she missed the days of cruising the bars, picking up men. She would say, "YOu have the life. Doing what you want, and seeing new woman, whenevery you want." She wasn't much of a friend, if she believed that's what my life was like.

My dad was in the Marine Corps. over 30 years. We lived in Okinawa for a total of 8 years. A lot of my friends, after high school, were Marines 18-20 year old guys. I can't tell you how many young guys would fall in "Love" with the buy-me-drinky-girls. These girls are mostly philipina that got tricked into getting a job near a military base and the only way they could get out was marrying a GI. As soon as they got back to the states and they were American citizens they would divorce said GI and bounce. Sometimes they would even wait until their husbands made it to 10 years in the military and then divorce. Why 10 years? Because at that point they are entitled to half of their exes military retirement. For anyone reading this that is going to join, DON"T go into those buy-me-drinky bars. I got some crazy ones man, honestly being young (Ages 21 through 30) and deployed overseas is just asking for it.... I worked on the ambulance while I was stationed in Okinawa and you see some crazy shit through EMS and 911. Well since Okinawa is such a small island you tend to get repeat offenders and you probably have seen them around the island and what not. Anyway there was this pretty cool white guy with a decent mustache who was probably around 25 years old. Anytime j had the chance to say hi I'd ho out of my way to say hi because he always seemed to be fake happy... like the snickers candy bar that Dane Cook Says... Anyway I haven't seen the gay in a couple of months and I dorta forgot that he was in Oki, I knew he had a baby daughter on the way and figured when his wife delivered he probably take vacations and go back to the states. One Friday night we get a high emergency traumatic call and you basically prep your AED, Truama Bag, Tourniquet and like nothing else be cause your picking them up and leaving as fast as possible. Of course the Pt was on the 5th floor at the end of the hall, were booking it up the stairs it's hot, people are crying and yelling theres a chick on speaker phone, theres cops and people in Camouflage it's honestly was a cluster fuck right outside his room door. After telling everyone e to get the fuck out of the way I eneter the room to see gore style movie blood everywhere.. .. his sink was plugged and it was half filled with water and blood, theres a giant handprint smear dragged across the wall and fat ass droplets of blood leading around the hallway. Theres aspin pills all over the floor and a half empty Handle of that cinimin fireball alcohol on the ground. After rounding the corner I see 3 people on the ground and I'm like yooo wtf is going on....? I fi ally see the theres two cops forcing this guy dow. With his arms pinned to the ground..... To shorten the story he took a old school razor blade from wrist to inner elbow on both arms.... like bro you could see fat cells and bone it was that bad... because he too aspirin too it was even worse. He tried to commit suicide because the wife didnt tell him when she was due, while he was deployed she began fuckng her Ex and has him present during delivery. Everything went well until graduation night when a guy and gal were caught in the bathroom going at it. Both automatically failed the course and even worse had to call their spouses to pick them up. I dont know how they handled those conversations but we knew days in advance we had passed and had free phone privileges so I would bet both had told their spouses they had basically passed already.

I have to drop a comment on that one... for every BAD story there is out there about a military wife, there are 100 GOOD stories that remain untold. A lot of these women are living in fairly substandard accommodations with not the greatest schools or healthcare, getting by on a salary that is not terrific (especially not in proportion to the dangers involved). Meanwhile they are living with the stress of (many times) nearly single parenting while their husband is on duty (or worse, deployed). They are faced with the possible loss of their husband and living under rules/restrictions that they only agreed to by nature of marrying a military man. (Most didn't know that they would have rules to follow living on base, etc. when they decided to marry him.) So, yes, there are a**holes everywhere, but most are good people. And it is worth remembering that these women really do make sacrifices for our country, too.

Was in the military and need to step in for a moment here. Are there strong marriages in the military? Absolutely. Are they the majority? From the info I have been able to find, divorce rates may actually be close to, or higher than, that of the civilian sector. Interesting to note that female military members are divorcing at a higher rate, 275% higher in the case of Army females, than their male counterparts. Off the top of my head I can think of a few, actually seen, reasons for this. Some reasons female service members divorce: 1 - When she deployed, he was left behind with all the female spouses from the unit, and he got caught dipping in the pond at some point. (Unlike the wives of deployed service members, for some reason these guys seem to like to try and land the wives of the deployed husbands in their wife's unit.) 2 - While she was deployed, he met the new "love of his life" and decided to move her in until the wife returned, then ask for a divorce. (The worst of these are when it is another military member. Blue Falcons all the way.) 3 - He knocked up some woman from 1 or 2 above. (Pretty common.) 4 - While she was deployed, she was NOT faithful in the slightest (some have been caught in prostitution rings while deployed.) 5 - She started sleeping with another service member while deployed. (Other than someone like in 6 below) 6 - She is trying to sleep her way up the chain of command. (I've was surprised this happened as often as it did.) 7 - The female service member got knocked up by someone from 4 or 5 above. This can also lead to the wronged spouse filing for adultery. For some reasons male service members divorce: 1 - When he deployed, she was left behind and decided she was bored so she started stepping out on him to find Mr. Right Now. (Usually first spotted in a club.) 2 - While he was deployed, she met the new "love of her life" and decided to move her in until the husband returned, then ask for a divorce. (The worst of these are when it is another military member. Blue Falcons all the way.) 3 - She is trying to sleep her way up the chain of command. (Yup. Seen it. Non-military spouse trying to have s_x with anyone that outranks her husband in his unit.) 4 - The non-military wife got knocked up by somebody from 1, 2, or 3 above. (Pretty common). 5 - He wasn't faithful in the slightest and got caught and reported. Wife presses for divorce, and sometimes, depending on evidence, adultery. (A serious charge under UCMJ) 6 - He knocked up a female service member or non-military national where they are deployed and is taking responsibility. (Seen it. Only a few of these ended well too.) 7 - They realized that the being apart was not going to work for them in the long term. (This is actually the rarest of the reasons I actually saw, and applies to both males and females.) The above lists are NOT comprehensive, and are meant to be read in broad terms due to slight variations in how the whole thing plays out over time. Cheating in the military is so bad that you can go to clubs nearby bases/camps/posts and you are able to determine which units are deployed by the number of spouses displaying their "Cheater's Band" (the lighter skin under wear the wedding band is normally worn). The clubs are usually packed full with them right after a deployment. It really and truly pisses off the OpSec folks. I know of only a few marriages where one spouse or the other did not cheat. I know of some that lasted, even though they both cheated while the military member was away. Some of those had some form of agreement that they understood the other would probably look for companionship while they were separated, others just didn't discuss the issue, and only became upset if the infidelity became public/unit knowledge. Edit: Spelling, Formatting

I'm an Air Force brat; dad was a Chaplain. My mom was wonderful, caring and supportive. They were married 45 yrs before she passed early 2020. Older brother is active duty Air Force and his wife is absolutely awesome! She homeschooling their boys (did NOT like the schooling options available). They're married 23+ years so far, going strong. They have a lot of friends & coworkers who don't cheat, too, but yeah; cheating is common. My hubby is Air Force veteran. We've been married 23+ years too, but I'm his 2nd wife, as his first wife was active duty like him but banged 3 guys while she was deployed AND SHE FILMED IT. He was given a copy of the vhs tape of his wife's homemade porn tape and that was it. They met while in basic, both 19 when they married, divorced by 24. Some women/men are not cut out to be military spouses. They can't take the stress & frequent separation. Others rise to the challenge and stand by their active duty spouse, setting a great example and building a home where ever the military sends them, again and again.

When I was a Barracks NCO, I made a habit of a surprise inspection on random rooms. I caught an unfaithful wife sleeping on the bed of another. I didn't look twice acting as if it was the military guy vs the spouse. He was contacted. The MPs got their hands on her. Her ID was confiscated within hours as she was escorted outside of the base gates that weekend without notice. He did not believe being told of her actions and now has proof.

1) New base commander's wife and her group of bored hens (senior officer wives) decide to "inspect" the new barracks at about 5:30 AM when day shift is getting up and showering. They were obviously cruising for enlisted dong as they were just using a security passkey to open doors and walk in without announcing. In short order one guy kicked the door shut without knowing who was breaking into his barracks room and promptly called base police. The fallout on the base commander and his wife's group of "friends" was fast and severe when the IG got involved. 2) Hot wife of a E-6 was left home alone for 180 days while her husband was TDY. Living in base NCO housing, she started bringing her E-3 boyfriend over for nookie sessions. He eventually decides that he likes base housing much better than a barracks room, so he just moves in. She's fine with that right up until right before her husband is due back and he says he's staying and her husband can have his assigned barracks room since it's not being used. That ended with a court martial for the E-3 and a divorce for the E-6. 3) In the USAF the officers in flight school are mostly a pack of really tall seemingly 12-year olds, many of them married to rather hot college girls that grew up in the middle of nowhere. Marrying a military pilot young meant a ticket out of living in the sticks, world travel, and then a soft life when he becomes an airline pilot. The drawback is that the ones they can snag all appear to be about a decade behind most men in the acting and looking like an adult thing, so the wives are essentially married to junior high kid. A significant percentage of these wives will go to the off-base bars where the enlisted hang out, cruising for a guy that looks like he actually shaves. It wasn't unusual to see them exiting the enlisted barracks just before midnight so they could beat their husbands home (night flying exercises). They would spread it around pretty liberally; I never knew any of them that ended up with a "boyfriend" for the time they were on base. Of course, this has nothing on Navy wives when the fleet heads out for 6 months.

While doing a base security rotation a husband greets his wife coming home from deployment. She returned 5 months pregnant from 6 months on ship. He strangled her on the spot. He then turned himself in, she in the backseat holding the single rose intended as a gift. My lousy ex was a traditional dependapotomus. That story seems so pedestrian after story 1.

wait, so the one time a guy gets full custody of the kids is when his wife cheats with a woman? That's kinda messed up since you know if she cheated with a man she would probably win the custody battle. Also, for the last story, the wife *admitted* that she started the fight and her husband was defending herself and still faced no punishment while the husband got kicked out? The husband better have been having multiple affairs cuz that's the only circumstance where that would have been remotely ok
@tmac2744

It is the double standard at play. 1 - If he hits her for any reason, he gets arrested, even self-defense. The only way the woman gets arrested is if there is video proof or she directly attacks the responding officers. 2 - If he doesn't he gets told to "man up" and laughed at until he fights back, and then see number 1 above. This isn't limited to the military either. There is actually almost NO support for abused husbands in the US, or any country outside the US for that matter. There are over 2800 shelters for abused women, but only 15 for abused men. There was one more, but it was shut down when the community bullied the man, an abuse victim himself, so badly that he committed suicide.

I was the product of a short marriage involving a military man. My mom got knocked up with my older brother when they were like.... 21, so they got married. I was born a year after my brother, my sister 4.5yrs after me. My dad cheated tho, not my mom interestingly enough. Guess being pretty much the sole caregiver to 2-3 young kids (the oldest two being autistic) kept her busy.

On his way home, one of his subunits is with one girl he kisses. The other way he is kissing another girl. He told this story to say " I've been with Anna for 50 years and he lasted 3 months with a ring on his hand. No matter how bad it gets, know that you will get to the other side still holding hands. Everything is easy after that."

A lot of people who get married in the military are simply lonely, and they generally aren't making the best decision when it comes to dating, much less marrying. And a lot of the spouses don't understand the stresses involved of being married to an active duty spouse. For every "I'm military and my spouse cheated on me" story, I've got 3 more about civilian couples stepping out on each other. Being in the military just seems to speed run relationship meltdown for some people. Others rise to the challenge and succeed, having stronger, deeper relationships than civilian couples. For example, my mom & dad. He was Air Force. Married for 45 years (mom passed away from cancer in March of last year). Older brother, active duty Air Force. Married 23+ years and going strong. Younger brother, Air Force veteran and current National Guard. 11 years and still happy together. My hubby & I; he's Air Force veteran, reservist. Married 23+ years & we're still going great. But to be fair, I'm his 2nd wife. First wife was the classic "cheat on your spouse", tho she was also active duty at the time.

Then after her husband filed for divorce our 1SG got a notice from an attorney saying that her husband and 6 other guys were needing to come snd take a paternity test, it was laid out in the letter that after the time she last had relations with her husband (right before a field outing) that she had literally had a meth induced gangbang with the other 6 and all of them finished in her and that she was now pregnant.
