Service of Vintage Seiko from 1940 gone wrong | DIY | ASMR

This vintage Seiko came for service as it was not running. This model looks exactly like Rolex reference number 4498 and was manufactured between 1940 to 1950. At that time, there was no shock resistance in watches so their balance wheel pivots used to break easily. Same was the case with this one. Its balance staff was broken.
It was successfully serviced but unfortunately the balance staff was not replaced correctly, and it was not giving accurate time, but it started running again.

I wish I had skills to to that kind of service. What fluids you are using to clean parts ?

Thank you for the comment. The yellow one is called mercury lotion in Pakistan. It softens the dried up oil and light corrosion if any. The clear one is isopropyl alcohol, it helps clean up any residue.
