Are going ton release a video on the filters as well? I'd love to know where the filters for the aircon are situated, as I can't find mine

Great job! It’s really cool seeing you both get stuck in together as a team working on the truck 🐝 Good fix on the engine block drain galley - I bet flushing the crud from there should mitigate issues further down the road, that coolant will be squeaky clean now 🧽 😃 May she sail the green lanes trouble free! ⛴️ 🤞😁

It's a massive metal help to know everything has fresh fluids and been checked over. Adventures become way less stressful 😂👍

I did that with the ATF drain doesn't take long to make a mess. you learn quickly to switch off. good to show it though. I would do the ATF again after a few miles

The oddest thing I 've done to my car so far was to fix up a rattling heat shield above the catalytic converter with a paper clip, a bit of wire and a key ring split ring, and it is still good 9 years later...

looking forward to seeing more on this, although can't help but wonder why not use a d2 for it as its a budget overlander? second hand part availability keeps the cost down massively 👌

Wow. Those Lugnuts are tight. Only needs 90lbs. LOL. The only vehicles we have this kind of time with are the ones out of the NE of the US. Salted road in the winter time...

I have a similar setup for my coolant temps. I need too install it but I've been slacking.

Yes I was shocked how tight they were. Someone obviously liked the rattle gun a bit too much! Salted roads are a problem here too so lucky to find ones like this nowadays.

Well worth doing. The factory one leaves you blind.

If you think those are tight try undoing a Defender with genuine Wolf steelies, because of the extra thickness of the wheels the nuts leave no protruding thread once tight, they are a flush fit so you have to torque them to 170 nm/125 foot lb, I carry an extra long breaker bar to undo them.

Why the new temperature sensor?

These are reliable old motors but the one thing that can get then is if something goes wrong in the cooling system, usually due to neglect then if it overheats it can do the head. The standard gauge is so slow to react its often to late. So this let's us know all is well.. or not at all times.
