Thanks for the detailed explanation. As of now, there are three types of IDP you could create: (i) Digest, (ii) SAML, (iii) OpenID Connect. Why did you use SAML and not the other ones? What is the difference between each one of them. Thanks.

So there are three things to do after IDP provider record is created ... 1) activate IDP, 2) enable redirect, and 3) activate SSO ... what will happen if you do only #1 and #2? Or only #1 and #3? Trying to understand need for both #2 and #3

It depends. Mostly the implementation is quite straight forward like this but for some it might change implementation approach.

Hello Juan. Nope. This should be done by your SSO Team who would sync AD accounts with SSO provider and you need to configure the SSO one time.

If there are say 1,000 users of Servicenow, do you have to set up email record/config in the IDP for each and every user and each user will use their user ID as set up in the IDP to log in?

Yes, all user data should be available in IDP as well with same email address which is in ServiceNow.
