Some advice for others looking to do the same: - - Whilst you can just use distilled water, the better option is to use one with rust inhibitors and a biocide. - The pre-mixed coolants are fine but be very careful if in case your kit has a combination of different metals: if it is not an all-copper system, your radiator might be aluminium and it is a BIG no no if your coolant does not have an appropriate type of inhibit inside. A glycol-based coolant would be ideal in this case (Aquacomputer Double Protect Ultra is ideal) with a min of 25-30% concentration. - Water expands as it heats up so you do not want to fully fill it up. They don't come 100% full from the factory.

you need to leave 5% air for expansion of hot water. not fill it completely. and you should not submerge it. it will ruin the circuit board of the motor. and you should add 20% antifreeze.

Not true. Adding air is what expands the most & is a problem, whether you have experienced it yet or not. Zero air is ideal (and nearly impossible to achieve by hand).

rtx 2080ti ftw3 hybrid seems like pump died, can opening it and cleaning fix pump? I dont see any replacements. Sux to toss a working gpu. Other kits wont cover vram and other parts needing cooling because this was a hybrid from factory - so no heatsinks.

Mine had very tight bolts, so I just managed to refill a little bit bu unscrewing the screw behind the housing... I just refilled with distilled water using a small syringe and a napkin so no water is spilled on the circuit boards. Looks like it worked and I got rid of the air pocket I had noticed (unstable temps).

I'm having a bad day right now. PC won't start because it overheats without the cooler. Thought it was the thermal paste so I re did that and it lasted like 5 to 10sec longer. Was so confused till I was like wait what about the water. So I took the fans off to shake radiator and it was like a feather. Still gave it a little shake and can hear maybe drops of water left in my cooler. I want to try this but don't want to break anything. I feel so lost without my PC tho. I had a diffrent cooler then home Boi here. Basically was the samething. Very sacry how easy those copper plates fall right off.... but I did replace the water inside and got everything hooked up properly. Cooling is great now. That night I ran out got antifreeze and distilled water with one of those tiny Turkey basters. Took me forever, for me 70% of the time I was moving my cooler around slightly shaking and tapping it to get air out. But been awhile since I have done it and have had 0 issues. Way cheaper then replacing whole cooler.

Not sure I understand, just take the liquid out then put it back in? Doesn't make much sense, why not replace it, or use a 70% 30% combination of distilled water and vehicle coolant or similar? Also from what I can see, the water that came out has all kind of particles in it.

Good Lord that's a _terrible_ place to put the maintenance port! Thankfully every AIO I've bought has a fill port on the radiator. That just seems brainless to put the port right against a circuit board. It looks like they _purposely_ did that so you can't service it and have to buy a new one every few years.
