Had no idea I'd react so intensely, but I couldn't help it. People don't understand that it's a moral, ethical stance. Sure, some poeple simply eat a plant based diet, to them it's about healh or about telling people they're better than other people. Most of the times I just went without dinner etc I didn’t really mind at the time because I was a minority. Couldn't watch it because although I don't like people who make a show and dance about being vegetarian etc I also would way rather be around them than someone who intentionally bullies someone because they don't like meat. What a weird world

To save you all some time: Parmesan isn't suitable for Vegetarians because it contains Rennet. (lining of a cows stomach) That's why Dave the narrator said she wouldn't eat it if it wasnt Vegetarian Parmesan..she isn't confused abour being Vegan.. Parmesan is a cheese that contains animal enzymes unless you get the vegetarian version 😊

It's not hard to accommodate a person who is vegetarian if you do a bit of research into what they can eat and what vegetarians like to eat, but if you are not willing to do the work then you shouldn't be in a competition that is likely to have a vegetarian as a dinner guest🤦😮‍💨

Yes, but parmesan is not a vegetarian cheese. It's made with rennet -- an enzyme taken from a cow's stomach. It's literally impossible to make (real) parmesan without slaughtering a cow or a sheep to extract rennet, and so even though you don't actually eat the flesh, most vegetarians consider it the same as meat. Even those that eat cheese, dairy, honey, eggs and other products that come from animals but don't actually require killing the animal to produce.

The first guy revealed himself as a nasty, ignorant and aggressive bully from the get go, and I felt so sorry for the vegetarian guest he had targeted. That was a really uncomfortable watch and I was surprised no one stepped in to defend the guest and put him in his place. I hope he feels shame watching himself.

Exactly. Meat is a luxury for many people. Ugh, I went to Mexico with my EX (emphasis on "ex") and he started whining about there not being any meat in the food when we stopped in a tiny village for lunch. The people there were very gracious, and there he was acting like a spoiled brat. It was embarrassing. I had to apologise to the people at the "restaurant." "Restaurant" because it was pretty much a few tables in the front of their house with a curtain dividing the public area from their home.

Like a cow needing to be killed to use its intestine to make the Parmesan, it’s not about the milk, which a vegan would avoid because it is an animal product, even though it’s a renewable animal product.
