I wholeheartedly agree that new Christians should not teach, I think we need to refer to the New Testament for guidance on who and when a person can stand in the position as teacher. 🙏🙏🙏

There are several factual errors in this video: 1. Doreen Virtue DID repent of her false ideas as soon as she was corrected. She fully owned up to them. She has been incredibly apologetic not only for her mistake, but for the unintended affect it had on Peters. If Chavez had simply pointed out the error to Virtue when he first became aware of it, based on her response since his video, she likely would have responded as the sincere, new Christian that she appears to be much sooner and avoided this whole debacle. Admitting your error and asking for forgiveness is not "damage control." See Todd White or Joyce Meyer's "repentance" videos if you want to know what disingenuous damage control looks like. 2. Justin Peters did NOT spend any of his video "ripping Chavez." Watch it again! Peters responds with facts, truth and love. 3. Justin Peters DOES call out false teaching in Calvinist circles, and it is not hard to find evidence. This video seems to downplay that fact and say that he doesn't do it often enough, but then claims that WHY he doesn't do it would be mere "speculation." That would be like saying that this guy with the badge and uniform doesn't arrest very many criminals, but we can't speculate about WHY he doesn't arrest very many criminals--even though we all know that he is the fire chief! The reason why Justin Peters doesn't appear to do it very often is just as obvious. His primary focus in ministry is exposing false faith-healers (for very obvious reasons), and there aren't very many Calvinist faith-healers. In fact, he had never heard of Joshua Chavez was before his attempt to slander Peters. The fact that Peters took the time to point out Chavez false teaching as soon as he became aware of it, is actually evidence that he will take the time to point out error in any circle in a factual and loving way. 4. Even calling this a "feud" is mildly deceptive. It would be like coming to a parent dealing with an argumentative and disobedient child and saying that they were arguing with each other, or feuding or fighting. It implies that they are on somehow equal terms and using equally valid arguments and that both are equally responsible for the current conflict which should be avoided at all cost. Chavez arguments are filled with speculation and are at best gossip with no intention to correct, forgive or accept any level of repentance. Peter's response was necessary and loving. It is correct to say that "Joshua Chavez is an equal opportunity offender," because he is offended by ALL Christians, NOT by false teaching. It is also correct to say that many Christians need to be more aware of what is going on in their own circles, and not just attack other denominations. As Jesus says, we must judge rightly. Chavez needs our prayers, not our defense. btw, I'm not a Calvinist. :)

You have some good points but didn't touch on others. I've watched a few of Chavezs videos and there was always something I just didn't care for, which when listening to him for a length of time it becomes apparent. The guy is a straight dk, has no love or compassion nor does he go about his ridiculing others with any humility nor love for others. If constantly using child like behavior thinks that that will help others find their faults if any and want to turn to Christ, uhhh yeah their gonna be like kick bricks. Perhaps humbling oneself, realizing that I too am a sinner and all fall short but we are trying to be the best Christians we can be, I don't mind to be corrected when in the wrong. But I also won't let someone chastise me about it as if they are the right hand of God. Saying all that I have found one of his videos to be an ok teaching, but he wasn't going after any one person or persons. But other than that I'm done watching his videos, especially after Peter's said he was sorry for not looking up that ladies past or whatever. I seen in Peter's interview where he does address some concerns others were saying he didn't, well if they had eyes to see and ears to hear ,well I don't want to be rude and overly dramatic about it. With Peter's I don't believe all that he teaches, he makes good points on something's but is wrong on others, I'll chop that up to cause it hasn't happened nor has he seen it happen so he believes certain things are not happening or that those that have had amazing experiences are all liars, and I find that ashame. He does kinda do it in a sarcastic manner as well, but nothing compared to Chavezs. But even if they are correct in some of their judgments, try using them as teachable moments instead of chastising moments. Last this is one reason I do not subscribe to belonging to a denomination cause all it is is another word for separation. If I'm a Christian than I'm a Christian no title before nor after, as long as I'm following scripture of the gospels of the Holy Bible, knowing that jesus Christ was God in the flesh, son of God, that he was sacrificed for the worlds sins, arose from death three days later, and is the only way to know the father and be given salvation. Well I pray you all get the rest, I touch and agree in Jesus name with prayers for the lost, hurting, those of whom believe and those of whom have yet to accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and saviour and I call it done Amen and Amen ❤🙏 . I grew up in Purest Calvinism and I also had to be rebuilt from the ground up. First heard of her a couple years ago along with two others who left "new age". I'd never heard of "new age" so it was a learning experience. But then I started seeing Doreen slowly including Calvinist guests even though some tried to disguise it with labels and wording. I got concerned as she got deeper into it because she's prone to being deceived and it appears she still is. But hope abounds if you follow the Holy Spirit, and not men or their theologies or their creeds or their catechisms or their doctrines or THEIR interpretations of Scripture.

I know people who have had visions because I'm one of them. The question is, "Was my vision from God or the enemy?" I believe the visions I had were demonic. However, those experiences drove me into the arms of the Lord as I was thoroughly broken. I've seen visions of Jesus on the cross, pyramids and hell just to name a few. I've been hospitalized over such issues but have since been completely delivered and healed. Where I struggle is with all of these ministries who refute people like me and claim that we're not trustworthy NOR Biblical. I can't change or alter my TRUE testimony in any way as Doreen Virtue has apparently done. I tell my story to give God the glory of my salvation. It was not of my doing. I have nothing to gain by embellishing a story of visions. I suffered greatly, with visions, for many years until God delivered me.
@QUESTLOGOS
@QUESTLOGOS 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Suzette, praise God for your deliverance. The problem with visions is when people claim God or Christ appeared to them and communicated with them, verbally or otherwise. The reason is everything from God must be true so any individual God has supposedly spoken to or even revealed Himself in some way has been given a new revelation from God and thus those words/symbols should be treated as gospel or even on balance with scripture. Most believe God's word to us is complete in the scriptures. There are even warnings about those that would add to or take from His word. God bless you!

@@thesimplesojourner1062 Sorry to put it bluntly, but you are wrong on this matter. There are many Bible things that Christians can disagree on that aren't a part of the gospel. Generally, things that don't affect salvation are secondary. The Bible lays out clearly how to be saved. Calvinists teach this, plus predestination, which doesn't get in the way of their being saved. One last thing, an important distinction: The Gospel is the good news of Jesus-the power of God to save. A false gospel says Christ sacrifice wasn't sufficient, or says Jesus saves and He promises... stuff He doesn't.

He thinks he's holier than everyone else just because he prays more than them. He reminds me of the Pharisee in Jesus' parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector. Luke 18:10-15 “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed[a] thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Joshua Chavez just loves pointing out the sins in others and he refuses to talk about his own. I've watched many of his videos and not once does he talk about his personal life, his struggle with sin, his wife, or about being humble. He's full of pride and he refuses to admit when he's wrong. I've noticed that anytime someone tries to correct him in the comments section of his videos/articles, he always either ignores them or he writes of their comments as being "straw man arguments", "ridiculous", "idiotic", "pathetic", or "incoherent". His "guilt by association fallacy" is also completely unbiblical. His mentality is pretty much "me v.s. everyone". He believes he's 100% right and everyone else is 100% wrong. He also believes that you can lose your salvation. Don't believe him. Christians are eternally secure. Don't let people like him tell you otherwise. I applaud him for exposing Phil Johnson, John Macarthur, JD Hall, and Dave McKay. However, in many of his videos/articles he seems to have a critical spirit. A critical spirit is not difficult to recognize. Its fruit is usually evident. Someone with a critical spirit is prone to complaining, seeing the glass as half-empty, ruing unmet expectations, sensing failure (in others more than in oneself), and being judgmental. Critical spirits are no fun to be around; neither are they fun to possess. As with most sin, having a critical spirit is a perversion of something God made to be good-in this case, a longing for God and His perfection. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "[God] has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end." We live in a fallen world, and we are often impatient to enter into the glorious perfection for which we were originally created. In a sense, it is good that we can see what’s lacking in this world; after all, the world is not as it should be, nor are we as we should be. Recognizing the world’s insufficiency helps us to acknowledge our need of a Savior. But having a critical spirit can blind us to the grace and beauty that God continues to bestow every day. A critical spirit can also be seen as a perversion of discernment. Often, those accused of having a critical spirit make valid points. They just make their points in an unpalatable manner. Obviously, critical spirits are destructive, tearing down both the recipient and the giver of the criticisms (Galatians 5:14-15). The Bible speaks against such critical judgment. In Matthew 7:1-2 Jesus says, "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you." Jesus is not saying that we should not be discerning or that we should ignore the fallen nature of the world. He is also not saying that we must never, under any circumstance, criticize anyone else. In fact, the Bible tells us that we are to judge rightly (John 7:24). However, we are not to criticize with malicious intent or out of pride, hypocrisy, or self-righteousness. We cannot assume that we are impartial or that we can fairly exact our standards on others. Humans have naturally deceitful hearts (Jeremiah 17:9) that allow for blind spots and inappropriate comparisons. Only God can judge with perfect accuracy (Hebrews 4:12; James 4:11-12; 1 Samuel 16:7; 1 Chronicles 28:9; Isaiah 11:4; Revelation 19:11). And our discernment is only valid when it is informed by a renewed nature in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14-16; John 16:13). Only when we are submitted to Christ and honest with ourselves will our judgment serve to edify rather than destroy. So how do we overcome a critical spirit? The condition of our heart is crucial. Luke 6:45 says, "The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." Critical words spring from a critical heart. And a critical heart generally comes from a misunderstanding of God’s grace-either due to pride or a simple lack of information about God’s character and the meaning of salvation. Only when we understand our depravity apart from God and the depth of His grace will we be able to bestow grace to others (Romans 3:23; 6:23; Colossians 2:13-15; Ephesians 2:1-10). Those who struggle with a critical spirit know that they can never live up to their own standards. They are constantly judging others and themselves and always coming up lacking. But Christ fills this lack! He is perfect and righteous, and He freely grants that righteousness to those who believe in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). The better we understand God’s grace, the more gracious we will be with others (1 Peter 2:1-3). And the more grateful we will be. The giving of thanks is a strong antidote to a critical spirit. Another important area is our thought lives (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 10:5). Rather than focus on what is missing, we should think about what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). This is not to say that we should ignore falsehood, injustice, ugliness, or imperfection. However, we should not dwell on the negatives. Paul instructed the Ephesians regarding this, "We are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ . . . so that [the body] builds itself up in love. . . . Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. . . . Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:15-16, 29, 31-32). Sure, things could be better than they are, but love covers many sins (Proverbs 10:12). Forgiveness is a priority. As the Body of Christ, we speak out of a heart of love in order to build each other up. A critical spirit only serves to tear down (Ephesians 4:1-3; Galatians 6:1-5). It can also be helpful to remind ourselves that we do not know the thoughts and intentions of others. At times, behavior reflects motivation, but not always. Before making a critical remark (whether aloud or to ourselves), we should pause and consider other possibilities. Is this person truly an uncaring jerk, or is he perhaps going through a difficult situation and in need of grace? The Golden Rule is a very helpful tool. A critical spirit tears down those around us and robs us of our own ability to enjoy life. When we become overly critical, we miss out on the beauty that God has placed in this world. Small blessings go unnoticed, and we stop being thankful. Overcoming a critical spirit requires gratefulness, a willingness to forgive, an accurate understanding of God’s grace (it’s free!), an intentional refocusing of our thoughts, and a commitment to share the truth in love. Overcoming a critical spirit is a matter of sanctification, and we have the Holy Spirit’s help with that (2 Thessalonians 2:13). As we submit to God, read His Word, and pray for grace, we will find that the critical spirit gives up control to the Holy Spirit of Christ. The kind of pride that stems from self-righteousness or conceit is sin, however, and God hates it because it is a hindrance to seeking Him. Psalm 10:4 explains that the proud are so consumed with themselves that their thoughts are far from God: “In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.” This kind of haughty pride is the opposite of the spirit of humility that God seeks: “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:3). The “poor in spirit” are those who recognize their utter spiritual bankruptcy and their inability to come to God aside from His divine grace. The proud, on the other hand, are so blinded by their pride that they think they have no need of God or, worse, that God should accept them as they are because they deserve His acceptance. Throughout Scripture we are told about the consequences of pride. Proverbs 16:18-19 tells us that “pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.” Satan was cast out of heaven because of pride (Isaiah 14:12-15). He had the selfish audacity to attempt to replace God Himself as the rightful ruler of the universe. But Satan will be cast down to hell in the final judgment of God. For those who rise up in defiance against God, there is nothing ahead but disaster (Isaiah 14:22). Pride has kept many people from accepting Jesus Christ as Savior. Admitting sin and acknowledging that in our own strength we can do nothing to inherit eternal life is a constant stumbling block for prideful people. We are not to boast about ourselves; if we want to boast, then we are to proclaim the glories of God. What we say about ourselves means nothing in God’s work. It is what God says about us that makes the difference (2 Corinthians 10:18). Why is pride so sinful? Pride is giving ourselves the credit for something that God has accomplished. Pride is taking the glory that belongs to God alone and keeping it for ourselves. Pride is essentially self-worship. Anything we accomplish in this world would not have been possible were it not for God enabling and sustaining us. “What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” (1 Corinthians 4:7). That is why we give God the glory-He alone deserves it.

From what I've watched in Joshua Chavez' videos. He pretty much believes that a Christian is forbidden from listening to any music (whether that be secular or Christian), watching any movies, playing games, having an acting career, or even just having a hobby. He pretty much views it all as usless, unnecessary, and worldly. He's a hyper fundamentalist. For Christian fundamentalists, “The Bible says it. I believe it. That settles it” is a famous refrain. The phrase isn’t strictly wrong. All Christians should hold to the authority of God’s Word. However, the phrase often encourages rigid-and reckless-interpretations. Context is critical for interpreting Scripture. Much of that context should be obvious, such as surrounding verses and references to other Biblical books. Some of that context is less obvious, such as the nuance of the original language or the writer’s cultural context. Each reader also brings in their own context-our own beliefs, biases, and assumptions that can twist our understanding of the text. Claiming “The Bible says it” without considering context has consequences. For instance, in Matthew 6:25, Jesus says, “do not worry.” Some Christians have interpreted this to mean that anxiety is a sin, and the solution for anxious Christians is to stop sinning. After all, Jesus said it, I believe it, and that settles it! This interpretation disregards the context of Matthew 6:25-34. Jesus’s main point is not to condemn worry and doubt as sinful. Instead, he reminds us that God cares even for the sparrows and will surely take care of us. Jesus encourages us to face our troubles one day at a time. He aims to reduce anxiety by reminding us of God’s love and care for us. In this example, the rigid interpretation claims to value Scripture highly, yet it offers little engagement with the passage. As a result, it misrepresents Scripture and harms its hearers-leading to more anxiety, not less. Fundamentalism has a reputation for making such errors. Despite its high values of truth and morality, fundamentalism often views questions as a sign of doubt and unfaithfulness rather than a desire to understand. Fundamentalism was built on the concept of fundamentals-an essential doctrine for all Christians. However, fundamentalism today is often critiqued for treating unessential doctrines with the same gravitas. In many ways, fundamentalists are like the Pharisees of Jesus’s day. The Pharisees sought to obey God’s Word to the letter but struggled with the gray areas. How far could someone walk on the Sabbath before it was considered work? How much could someone carry before it was considered work? Scripture didn’t say. To remedy this problem, the Pharisees wrote additional laws to “fence in” the Sabbath laws and ensure no one got close to breaking them. Fundamentalists often use this same “fencing in” approach. For instance: Hollywood often promotes non-Christian values and influences children to sin. Therefore, Christian families should avoid mainstream movies entirely. - Wearing tight clothing or showing too much skin is immodest. Therefore, requiring women to wear full-length skirts should ensure that line isn’t crossed. - Drunkenness is wrong, so alcohol should be illegal-that way, no one will get drunk. Just like the Pharisees’ rules, these fundamentalist rules do little about the human heart. Sheltering children can backfire, making children increasingly curious about what they’re missing. No matter how many clothes people wear, lust and adultery can still take root. Substance abuse can still ruin lives, legally or otherwise. Rules-no matter how wise they are-cannot change hearts, and changed hearts are what Christianity is all about. Ironically, as fundamentalism added more rules, it obscured the very fundamentals it claimed to protect. “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices-mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law-justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.” (Matthew 23:23-24, NIV) Fundamentalism puts a high value on not being “of the world.” Thus, fundamentalist families often isolate from mainstream culture and anything considered a worldly influence. Rather than teaching children how to engage with people who hold different beliefs, fundamentalist parents shelter their children from contact with those beliefs. As kids age, they often become frustrated with their parents’ harsh restrictions and slip outside those boundaries. Once outside, they discover many of their parents’ fears are exaggerated, undermining their trust in their parents’ judgment. As they experience non-Christians firsthand, they are given much more persuasive pitches for those beliefs than they’d ever heard before. Lacking healthy practices for navigating such challenges to their faith, they often abandon Christianity entirely. If fundamentalism has many problems, why are so many Christians drawn to it? For many people, rules are comforting. Being confident in what you believe and how you live creates a sense of stability. Being told God approves is even more reassuring. Fundamentalism makes bold, absolute truth claims on many, many subjects. There isn’t room for doubt or questions. To many, that’s a good thing. Interacting with viewpoints and information that challenges our assumptions is uncomfortable. Being able to avoid that discomfort because we are “faithful” is reassuring. Fundamentalism is grounded in close-knit communities. Its us-versus-them mindset may be problematic, but it’s also unifying. Knowing that you’re standing arm in arm with your community against the powers of the outside world is a good feeling. No matter how disliked you may be outside of that community, you’re a part of something important there. People struggling with fear, trauma, or loneliness have a particular hunger for the confidence, stability, and community that fundamentalism offers. But this isn’t all. Many simply believe that fundamentalism is the most faithful representation of God’s Word. Fortunately, this same love of God’s Word that leads many into fundamentalism can also lead them out of it.

Chavez doesn't believe in eternal security which is works salvation either way that you look at it. He also believes that if a true Christian committed suicide that he would end up in hell which is extra biblical revelation. He has a video on these topics.. If a Christian can lose their salvation then every Christian isn't going to make it to heaven. And what sin or amount of sins causes this? One becomes a co-savior and belittle the finished work of the cross if you can lose your salvation. Also that would mean that Jesus lied when He said "it is finished" and that eternal life isn't eternal but temporal which is a lack of faith. Grace motivates one towards sanctification in their walk. For someone to not be able to grasp eternal security is believing another gospel imo! How is this not heresy? Chavez self appoints himself as a discernment minister but teaches heresy of conditional security. He is above repentance. I'm not a follower of Justin or MacArthur either. Lordship Salvation as taught by these men is shady at best. We're saved by faith and works are the evidence of salvation. Faith is simply putting ones trust in the finished work of the cross for the forgiveness of sins. He paid it all. A genuine Christian will have works but to try and prevent false converts by adding; turn from your sins, committ, give your life to Christ etc.. is what a Christian does in his walk but not a condition of salvation. Faith is putting all your trust in Christ alone! There is only one Gospel! Wrong Responses To The Gospel Before we look at the wrong responses to Gospel, let us call your attention to the only right response to the Gospel. One is saved by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone based on His finished work alone. In light of Christ’s death for our sins and bodily resurrection, the issue in salvation is not do, but done. The basis is not our walk, but Christ’s finished work. The means is not works but simply faith. Let us not garble the Gospel, nor muddle the means to everlasting life by confusing the condition of salvation through telling people such erroneous conditions or wrong responses such as… “asking Jesus into your heart”… as He comes when you believe the Gospel, not by asking Him in. (John 1:12; Galatians 4:6) “giving your life to Christ”… as He does not want your “dead-in-trespasses and sins” life, but wants to give you a new life in Christ. (John 10:11; 2 Corinthians 5:17) “making a commitment to Christ”… as salvation is not assured by your promise/pledge to Christ but on God’s promise/pledge to you. (1 John 2:25, 5:13) “turning over the controls of your life to Christ”… as Romans 12:1 is an exhortation to believers (“brethren”), not to unbelievers. “believing plus baptism”… as a believer’s baptism is to be done as a public testimony of one’s faith and identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection as a result of being saved ¾ not as a means to salvation,(1 Corinthians 1:17; Acts 8:36-38, 18:8) “believing and keeping the Ten Commandments”… as God never designed the Ten Commandments to be a way of salvation, but to show us our sin and need of the Saviour. (Romans 3:20, 3:28; Gal. 2:16, 21, 3:10, 3:24-26) “submitting to Christ’s mastery / lordship in your life”… as James 4:7-10 is clearly a passage for believers (1:2, 1:16, 1:19, 2:1, 3:1, 3:10, 3:12, 4:1, 4:11), not for unbelievers. And while there is no debate that Christ is Lord, the issue in salvation is… “BELIEVE on the LORD JESUS CHRIST and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31) “repenting of or confessing your sins”… as 1 John 1:9 is a condition for believers to have “fellowship” with God (1 John 1:3, 6, 7) as a child of God (1 John 2:1), not a means to be born again for the unsaved (John 1:12-13). And while one must see he is a sinner before a holy God in order to see his need of a Saviour, the solution is not confessing ones sins to God. Instead, it is believing that Christ made full payment for your sins upon the cross (1 John 2:2, 4:9-10). Otherwise, how many sins must you repent of, how often, in what areas, and how perfectly in order to know you are saved? Confusing, isn’t it? One must repent (change their mind) about trusting Jesus Christ versus something else. “praying the sinner’s prayer”… which is found nowhere in the Bible. Where do you find anyone in Scripture leading someone else in prayer to be saved? Nowhere! “coming forward”… as the issue is not getting out of your seat, but coming to Christ by faith in Him alone. (John 6:35-40) Now I can almost hear someone screaming out, “But isn’t this all simply a matter of semantics?” My reply to that objection is “yes” and “no” depending on what you mean. Yes, it is a matter of semantics if you mean that word meanings and definitions are very important. On the other hand, this is not a matter of semantics if you mean that “trusting in Jesus Christ alone” and one of these inaccurate, misleading statements are really saying the same thing. When the Holy Spirit directed the writers of Scripture to record in perfect accuracy the inerrant Word of God, He knew the difference between “pisteuo” (believe) and “aiteo” (ask), or “homologeo” (confess) or “hupotasso” (submit) or “didomi ” (give). Over a hundred plus times in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit decided that “pisteou” (believe) would be the word used to describe the one and only condition of salvation. Dear friend, if “pisteuo” (believe) was good enough for the Holy Spirit, is it not good enough for you? I exhort you. Do not let your pride (“I’ve taught that cliché in the past”) or your emotions (“I’ve prayed this with my kids”) or your religious traditions (“our church has always said that”) get in the way of truth and biblical accuracy on the most important issue that anyone must address. I appeal to you to do away with these “sacred cows” of modern evangelicalism, and let us return to the authoritative Word of God to embrace what the Lord says about our eternal salvation. And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved…” ~ Acts 16:30-31 The only proper RESPONSE to the Gospel is simply to BELIEVE it.

GOOD ONE bro. I never knew SERVUS CHRISTI - JOSHUA CHAVEZ was the same person and that he is a self righteous monster who preach about losing salvation. You are right just as late Bro Chuck Missler puts it, if salvation depends on us human, no one will get to heaven but hell. since salvation depends on JESUS, there is no good deeds or sins we can do more or less that will change JESUS's decision for saving us, because when JESUS died and rose from dead, we were not in the world yet and so all our sin are future in to JESUS, the sin I have 10 years ago and 10 years from now are all the same to JESUS when HE chose to save me because of HIS grace and mercy, nothing that I am, was, will be attracts and earn HIS salvation, the only thing I can earn and deserve is hell. so if Joshua said Christian can lose their salvation, I think he is currently depending on his own righteousness (which Apostle Paul mentioned is a shitty diaper) 1) we don't rely on doing good deeds to earn salvation 2) but we rely on the salvation we did not earn but JESUS given to us freely to do good deeds so we have no excuse to keep sinning and loads of reason to do good as a reflection that we are being sanctify..... (I cant use sanctified past tense as some will mistakenly think we are 100% sanctified)

@@bbjjbb61 Yet you haven't, and he has. He could be better, but will not be. Jesus clearly taught how discipline and error is to be handled in the church, and Josh has flaunted his rebellion against what Jesus has said. Josh has said that he has retained legal counsel, which means he could be dragging someone who is a brother (or sister) in Christ into court. This has all become a real mess, simply because Josh will not accept any form of correction. He is everything Jesus was not. A destructive force against the church. It would be better if Justin Peters had no chance of proving that Josh is a deceptive manipulator. Yet, since that is Josh's MO, he never had a chance against someone who has made a ministry of dealing with deceivers and liars in the Word of Faith movement, who have made an art of being deceptive. Since Josh uses the same methods to attack the church, Justin neatly dismantled Josh in his response, which was surprisingly humble. (Surprisingly, because it was rather noticeable that he was holding back a lot of anger, yet responded with a level head. Something that Josh has failed to do himself. (Watch only the first 30 minutes of JD Hall vs. JD Hall, and ask if any of that answered the argument, or was pointed towards the argument Josh was making, or if it was just to make JD Hall look stupid and like a fool, so Josh only has to say...hey, this man is stupid, how can you accept anything he says?)

Joshua Chavez is pretty much a lone ranger Christian. He hates the institutional church and he doesn't like being around others. When we enter the family of God by being “born again” (John 3:3), we become “new creatures” (2 Corinthians 5:17). When we experience the new birth, we are like snakes shedding our old skin. Our spirits inflate with the presence of God, and that new Spirit crowds out the old ways. Our desires change. Our outlook changes. Where we once lived only to satisfy ourselves, we now have a longing to please Jesus and glorify Him (1 Corinthians 10:31). If no change occurs after a supposed conversion, it is likely that no regeneration occurred. C. S. Lewis said, “If conversion makes no improvements in a man’s outward actions then I think his ‘conversion’ was largely imaginary.” Part of the change is a desire to be with others who also love and serve Jesus. Being a solo Christian is not the norm. There are several reasons why every born-again believer needs to be involved with other Christians. First of all, the New Testament is filled with admonitions to “love one another”-the “one another” refers to fellow Christians (John 13:34-35; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 John 4:11). Love is not just a noun; it is an action verb (see 1 Corinthians 13:1-8). We are to actively pursue ways in which we can demonstrate unselfish love for each other. “Solo Christians” who avoid association with other believers cannot do that. Second, most of the books of the New Testament are letters written to churches, not to solo Christians. Although God loves us as individuals, we are collectively referred to in Scripture as “the church” (Ephesians 5:25, 32). The Epistles, addressed to groups of Christians, include detailed instructions about how members are to conduct themselves within the group. The letters were to be read corporately and are best understood in the context of a church working together. As a unit, Christians are the “bride of Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 19:7). Most of the New Testament is instruction on how the “bride” can ready herself for her groom, Christ. We are also called the “body of Christ.” This body has many parts, just as a physical body does (1 Corinthians 12:27). One body part cannot exist on its own. The heart cannot go solo; the chin cannot survive on its own. Any one part needs the participation of all the other parts in order to function successfully. The same is true for the members of the body of Christ. Jesus equips each one with certain gifts that He wants us to use to benefit the whole (see 1 Corinthians 12:12-30). Romans 12:4-5 says, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” There is no room in this passage for solo Christians. A third reason solo Christianity is not a good idea is that we need the encouragement and accountability provided by our brothers and sisters in Christ. Often, those who shun involvement in a local church live with major blind spots and spiritual strongholds that they are only mildly aware of. Because they do not make themselves accountable to other believers, solo Christians have no one to strengthen their weaknesses. Flaws such as pride, greed, envy, anger, and a judgmental spirit often grow unchecked in the heart of one who rejects spiritual oversight from those who could gently guide him back to obedience (Galatians 6:1). The solo Christian is a loner also misses out on preaching, corporate worship times, and opportunities to serve. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” We grow sharper as useful tools for God when we learn from each other, pray for each other, and invest ourselves in the lives of others. Local churches offer many opportunities in which to use our gifts to serve others and glorify God. Avoiding such connections weakens the solo Christian as well as the local body. Finally, we have a powerful enemy who “walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). The lion metaphor works in Scripture because God’s people are often referred to as sheep (Psalm 95:7; 100:3; 1 Peter 2:25; Mark 6:34). As any good shepherd knows, the sheep are safest when they stay with the flock, under the watch-care of a kind shepherd. First Peter 5:2 exhorts pastors with this: “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them.” A pastor is called the shepherd of the flock. It is his responsibility before God to nurture, protect, and encourage the sheep God has entrusted to him. A lone sheep, separated from the flock, is vulnerable to the enemy. Wolves and lions don’t usually attack a healthy flock. They wait for one who lags behind, isolated from the shepherd and the safety of the fold. Christians need to involve themselves with other believers in order to remain healthy and productive. Satan cannot steal a soul that belongs to God (John 10:29), but he can render our lives useless for the kingdom by convincing us that we don’t need fellowship, spiritual encouragement, or challenge from anyone else. He likes to stir up trouble, bitterness, disappointment, pride, and a critical spirit to keep lone sheep away from the flock (Ephesians 4:30-31; 1 Peter 2:1; Colossians 3:5-10). Then he attacks them with discouragement, temptation, and deception to eliminate any heavenly treasure that loner could have stored up for himself (Matthew 6:20; 10:41; Luke 12:33; Revelation 22:12). We will spend all eternity worshiping with other redeemed saints of God. We might as well learn to enjoy it now.

I don’t get this. Chavez at first said that Peters knew about the visions before the interview. Then Chavez says that Peters knew about the visions after the interview. So what? During the interview Peters clearly says that dreams and visions are not for today. So Peters was consistent with what he has always said. Peters also apologized for not doing his homework on Doreen Virtue. This is a failed attempted “ gotcha”. It’s a nothing burger.

Please re-read my responses. I stick by them. Regardless of when or if Justin knew about the visions, he gave the right response. What I am more interested in is the Metadrone (SP?) scandal where we are being asked to believe in a new Jesus plucked out of the Kaballa and endorsed by none other than Madonna. When did Joshua know about this ? Is he endorsing Madonna’s anti-Christian rhetoric and blasphemous statements? When did Joshua know about Madonna’s endorsement of this “new” Jesus and new gospel? Was there attempted damage control in Joshua’s latest video trying to explain and validate the Metadrone? When did Joshua know about Madonna’s endorsement of the Metadrone?

paulsan2112 I disagree but we can agree to disagree on Peters. Far more frightening is the apparent endorsement of Madonna and the Kaballa. The idea that Christians should worship a “new” Jesus called Metadrone (sp?) and reject the Bible and accept the new gospel of Kaballa is heresy. When did Josh know about Madonna’s anti-Christian views? Why did he attempt to do damage control by trying to promote worship of a new Jesus called Metadrone in a recent video? When did he read the many accounts of Madonna’s anti-Christian opinions ? Surely he had to know if these opinions before he endorsed the Kaballa!

Lying is also an abomination according to Proverbs so how is this any different? I cannot stand in the way of a sinner and we are called to follow the laws of the land. I believe a woman’s decision to have an abortion needs to be decided in partnership with whe medical provider. God gave us free will and who am I to stand in the way of that? We all have the choice to have a personal relationship with God and using politics to legislate scripture in an unbiblical civil government is not the way.

Finally we hear a balanced assessment, but you haven't updated since more has come out. I don't always like the tone in which Servus Christi works, but I do like truth coming forward. Thank you for your video. It appears to me that Chavez has solid more solid evidence whereas Justin Peters and many in his camp try to misalign him. Chavez stopped producing video's because Doreen filed a copyright infringement strike against his channel not once but several times. You tube have indeed reinstated his video's because they deemed her copyright strike against illegal, as he was working within the the "Fair Right Act."....kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3zSY2CAqdCerqc It in fact looks like Chavez has valid concerns, and has proof that indeed Peters did have info at least several days after recording with Doreen Virtue and still supports Virtue in spite of her "Jesus Vision." Peters did receive at least 4 emails warning him about Doreen after his appearance and never asked her to remove the video or revoked his support of her conversion experience with the massive new age "Jesus Vision." The problem with Doreen Virtue, she has produced a book called, "Deceived No More." In this book, she has 4 pages where she describes her "Jesus Vision." This is the testimony she has waffled on, "It was definitely Jesus, in Person (and light coming out of her, with a painting being made to represent this with a Jesus with no nail prints in his hand, and a heart similar to Catholic Paintings).

I am surprised you side with people having to be perfect, and that they can't make a mistake. When you are as busy as Justin Peters, you don't always have the time to research everything. Josh made it clear that he doesn't side with Jesus in that he could have resolved this whole situation in a letter or on the phone. He defends dragging the body of Christ through the mud of the world and in full public view, which makes it worse when it becomes clear that he was wrong. We are still left with Justin's parting words. Either Josh didn't watch the actual interview he based his whole argument on, or Josh is a blatant liar, and we know what scripture says about liars. So, would you side with a liar against the body of Christ? If you go through the comment section on Josh's video that says that John MacArthur partnered with Rick Warren simply because a picture of John MacArthur and Rick Warren was placed on the same web page by a graphical design intern (well, that may be stretching it...), and see the lies he sputters there... His attack ended up including everyone who took part in the convention, simply because Rick Warren was there...at a CONVENTION. It doesn't matter if Josh swore up and down that it was a conference and not a convention, because ignorance of what a convention is does not cover ones lies, when people took the time to explain to him what a convention is. They even explained what John MacArthur's role there was, and how it was completely divorced from what Rick Warren was there for. (Not to mention, divorced from what everyone else involved was doing.) There were people in the comment section who said they would no longer follow those people simply because of Josh's video. This is a blatant attack on the church. (I won't mention that Josh has an actual pelagian running free on his facebook page, which whom he apparently agrees because he neither confronts him, or blocks him. Speaking of having a relationship with a heretic.)

With these way of criticism (Chavez making a video and Peters to him) is not the best way to correct each other. This may lead others (new Christians or non-Christians) not to believe in GOD because of the confusion on what to believe in and why Christians (leaders) fight each other. They can do this in a more discreet way (personal talking) and let the errors be corrected through making a video of whoever made a mistake of himself. GOD bless!

Neither one should be demonized especially in front of an unsaved world I agree Chavez was overly ignited and jumped the gun However, I totally agree on the major points regarding Peters embracing compromised celebrity preachers like Mcsrthur who is a Calvinist and headed toward serious apostasy when it comes to the mark of the beast In light of it all I find that Peters is in graver error than Chavez because Peters has compromised by being lured by the lime light of popular teachers and seeks unity with them for self interests which is not goid! Jesus said if men love us then we are not in the favor of God for Truth is compromised I would leave with this verse , beware when men speak well if you so did the false prophets of old. I think Peters has walked through that door and is becoming one of them , for we are identified with the associations we keep Chavez has kept consistent and shows no favor to men and speaks like Christ when Truth is attacked Both need to show an example of maturity , because the in fighting is putting a blight on the name of Christ Ad for us , we pray for both men , for devouring wolves are amongst us with few shepherds that sound the alarm exposing the body of Christ to great destruction

I want to start off by saying that I do not hold any man as an idol. I have watched all of Joshua's videos and have to say that he has mentioned plenty of times that he would hope and pray these men repent or stand for the truth and stop living in hypocrisy. Joshua uses their own words and comments against them and he exposes their overly subtle hypocrisy. To lightly try to brush this off in reference to JP's is sad. So if I preach 95% truth and 5% lies and cotton candy then I'm still a good guy? I would highly disagree! I would be a false teacher and hypocrite. remember, a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Also. Joshua exposes lots of hypocrites and doesn't just target JP it just so happens that when he does say something about JP or his idol, J Mac, a majority of the time Peters will respond in defense as you said and Joshua will use Peters' own words against him. Again I do not idolize any of these men but truth is truth and enjoy hearing truth!

I’m not a Calvinist but having said that, Cavez is arrogant and more than an error caller he is a thorn. He criticizes men that have honestly served God by preaching the word and leading many to Jesus. They may commit an error because they are men. Is Chavez without sin? Throwing stones at others. He should honor and respect these men that have done the hard work. Sitting in front of a computer pointing fingers at others is pretty easy. We got tv prosperity preachers working harder to destroy the body and send many to hell. Chavez needs to humble himself and repent.

So many "vs.es" .....in the body of Christ. Certainly this is not how Jesus wants it to be in His body. Christians are to be "for" one another, not vs. No wonder the world sees us as a virtual dog and pony show and why we don't see many be won to Christ. Of course there are other reasons but our efforts should be the great commission...making disciples of all nations and preaching the gospel.

@King White Knight There are a lot of Christians but many are carnal; they don't act like Christians. This has been a battle since the early church ie the Corinthians and 6 of the 7 churches of Asia. I see the church advancing with the disciple making move, organic and house church movement where the focus is on making disciples not just converts. There are not many left might be a bit of the Elijah complex. Remember after slaying all the prophets of Baal he fell into a depression and thought he was the only one left. Scripture said there were 3000 true prophets left. Its easy to fall into the way things look rather than the facts. You might want to do some research and see how many questions are in the world. My understanding is that Christianity is still on the top of the world religions.

@King White Knight Well that scripture needs some discussion. Outer darkness needs to be defined. The road is narrow that leads to life. Life needs definition there. I believe there were be many that are saved except by fire. They works will be burned up but they themselves will be saved. Also I believe there will be a large end time gathering as Christians. Why didn't you address my reply rather than bringing in a new passage of scipture. This is where we need to be better disciples. Listen to our brothers and sisters rather than changing it to your assertion. I mentioned the Elijah complex. Sometimes we can assess things how they look. Did you actually do any research on how many Christians are in the world as I asserted. No reply on that. Try to give preference to your fellow Christian when they reply in a your tube reply. Stay with there subject and not completely turn it to your assertion.

Your not the arbiter of truth. If you wish to end the discussion with me that's fine but I think further discussion is need as to the meaning of the passages you gave. The passages don't necessarily deal with eternal separation from God in my estimation. I said they needed further discussion. You closed the discussion therefore I will also end it and mute it now.

@@prosperotempest8606, Good afternoon and my apologies for the delay in replying. First of all I am unable to explain the use of 'tripped on' that may have been used by others. I am not familiar with that term and I have no idea what it means. Nor can I give you specific timestamps, my opinion is based on a general viewing of several videos made by both Mr Peters and Mr Chavez. I have no intention of trawling my way through them all again but I do seem to remember a degree of harsh language. I am used to Mr Chavez calling people a liar, he appears to call many people that but I am not used to Mr Peters showing such vehemence. Clearly he has been most disturbed by Mr Chavez this time. I say this time as I am sure you know, Mr Chavez has been chasing Mr Peters all around the web for quite some time. Why, what lies at the heart of this alleged feud and the previous critiques, is a question I cannot answer. I am an outsider, I stand bemused at what I see and hear. Clearly since the 'email scandal' came to light, since the videos including the one above were posted and since I made my original comment, things have changed. Mr Peters has quietly withdrawn from the fray, he makes no mention of this matter now and doesn't even name Mr Chavez. In my opinion, this is the correct thing to do. He has responded and left Mr Chavez to it. Whether he should have responded in the manner he did is open to debate and a matter of opinion. His dignified withdrawal now is however, the correct thing to do. I think some mention should be made of the equally dignified and quite extraordinary involvement of Mrs Peters. This could have gone seriously wrong and been a cause for some embarrassment. Detractors of Mr Peters could have made the accusation that he was hiding behind a woman's skirts. Indeed I am surprised Mr Chavez has not leapt upon that opportunity. Perhaps the restrained but piercing rebuttal made by Mrs Peters has caused him to pause. I sincerely hope so.

@Joshua J. Jackson thank you for your kind reply. If she said her vision of Jesus were demonic, that is only since Joshua had called her out and as of a month ago has not renounced this vision. She should be thanking him for bringing this out, but instead she says things like it's not a good strategy from the other side because it brought her closer to Jesus (and apparently has silenced him which is just gross and disgusting). She completely fails to see (as well as Justin and everyone else who feels the need to rescue her) how a deception can be taking place that is beyond her comprehension (since in reality the fallen ones are about 1000x more intelligent than we are). Once I acknowledged this for myself more deceptions were revealed. It is staggering to know how much of our modern reality is seeped in lies. I think she is a lovely lady (and truly feel love for her) but I learn more from Joshua in the realm of discernment. I agree and have seen her renounce her prior workings and she has been very clear about that! She has admitted to not wanting to acknowledge evil in the past (just looks at happy things), and I am in the fight of my life to keep myself with eyes wide open and not fall for the subtle spiritual warfare attacks. For someone coming out of New Age, she is really necessary for them and I would recommend her. For now I decided to focus on other teachers because I am hungry for transformative truth since we seem to be nearing end times. Hopefully this explains my position. THIS is WRONG and UNRIGHTEOUS... Yes JESUS called out the unrighteousness of people. BUT HE DID IT RIGHTEOUSLY AND OUT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. HE KNEW EVERYTHING.... But Chavez didn't... And yes Justin admitted his error in not checking up on things, but it IS JUSTIFIED... So it's NOT that both is wrong. It's ONLY one who is wrong. the title JOSHUA CHAVEZ vs JUSTIN PETERS reminds of the common mistake most Christian made : Satan vs JESUS the truth is There is no vs between Satan in JESUS, creation cannot compare to their Creator. the religions and teaching that puts evil in the same rank with Holiness or GOD has no idea who GOD is. again it is like pornography vs My Wife. in order to compare 2 person or objects they must be of equal "moral value" or equal "worth market value" vs implies enemy or direct opposition. but who in all creation can oppose JESUS? JESUS can undo us (human, angels, demons and any life form) or send us all straight to hell anytime and HE don't have to answer or justify to anyone. all rights and authority is at HIS will. the only reason why we are all still here and do things such as commenting on youtube, is because JESUS have mercy on us all and is waiting for us to repent. if and only if all humans stop wanting "to be like GOD" there will be less or no more racism, no more discrimination, no more violent, no more arrogance,,, at least...

DV, is a new Christian, is normal if she made the first mistake about vision, if she denies it later that is because one sin begets another, which is normal, I believe I as Christian has keep sinning in some way, I believe Bro Justin focus was to encourage DV to kick start sanctification, learning to flush the lies in her head by learning the word of GOD. therefore Brother Justin agrees to appear in DV's show as an encouragement instead of turning her down which may discourage her to go back to he old idol. Joshua on the other hand, show no mercy and wanted DV to fail. Maybe Joshua ran out of false teacher he can expose because most of the false teacher has already been expose by Bro Justin in a very effective and good sermons. maybe, Joshua has been tempted by the evil in into jealousy and begins to attack Bro Justin. what Joshua should do instead is, contact Doreen and correct her as a friend as a brother in Christ, if she recognize and agree her fault about vision, ask her If she can share the truth to the public to show that now in Christ she is practicing her duty of discernment and by first monitoring her beliefs. there is no competition here, is OBVIOUS.
