I learned most of the verticals of D365 from various sites and courses but the videos from you are marvelous, the explanation is crystal clear and this couldn't find anywhere. The way of explaining drives to watch all the videos. Even though the topics are known but the way of explaining every single point makes me to watch again. A great thanks for your effort sir. I pulled the "Created date and time" field into my view after creating a product as you describe around the 30 minute mark, but it is blank. I was thinking this field would be auto-populated. Is this not the field to use to show when a product was created? Great instruction btw.

CreatedDateTime is automatically populated by the system when a record is inserted, assuming the property is enabled on the table. Out of the box, not all tables have CreatedDateTime, CreatedBy, ModifiedDateTime, and ModifiedBy enabled, so the tables don't have those fields. A developer can turn on the property/properties and then the system will add that field or fields. I don't have access right now to see if the ProdTable has CreatedDateTime property enabled out of the box. PS: I am no 100% sure how exactly you created your view or in what product. I ran across a case where an earlier X++ developer tried to use the CreatedDateTime value on a table that did not have that field: no compile-time error occurred and no runtime error occurred. However, it was a logical error because the results were wrong - records that should not have been in the results were.

Go to Item -> Default order settings. In this section, you can find settings for purchase, sales, inventory. Edit the form and enable "Stopped" on purchase, sales and inventory. In this way the item will be blocked and no one will be able to perform transactions on it. Hope it helps !

For the first 15 minutes, the slide is wrong and so is the discussion. The first choice is between ITEM and Service, not between Product and Service.

I appreciate your observation skills, as a matter of fact I was using both of these terms (synonymous) to make my point, but again I cleared everything after those first 15 minutes. Speaking of slides, the aim was not to present a PERFECT, WONDERFUL, TO THE POINT ERP-POLITICALLY-CORRECT slide at correct seconds, the simple aim was to teach new students a bit of D365 F&O and I am glad I achieved that. But, again, thank you for your feedback, I'll try to improve more, or maybe not as I don't care. 😜 A question still I have : Why did you waste your 15 minutes watching my video ? And once again, I am sorry for your loss.
