Raja yoga is very interesting. I've looked for something to put my spirituality into a physical action and using the act of pranayama you can allegedly wake up these nerve currents in the body by act of will. It sounds easy but in 6 weeks I've only gone from 4, 16 & 8 to 5, 20 & 10. I was previously a smoker so my lung power isn't what it was when I was younger. Apparently you reach master level once you can control the breath movements in hundreds of seconds. My question is what does "New" raja yoga offer that the original instructions don't already? Or is it just a better way of studying it or making the breathing exercises easier?
