Awesome! We love you, Marc. I'm 53 and have been chasing your tone for decades. PLEASE... bless us with some new recordings. Thanks for taking the time to do this interview. Now we just need to find VITO!

His guitar tone on Hungry was so ridiculous and light years improved from the first album. Still think that grindy opening of Face Down in the Gutter is one of the best recorded guitar tones from the 80's/90's. Hit me like a brick wall the first time I heard it.

I was friends with Marc back in Albuquerque. I met him playing the blues. He is the guy you see in this video. I even got to hang out with Marc, and he is humble with every breath he breathes. We were putting songs together for a potential blues band and I brought over a vintage '62 Gibson amp for him to just play through. We played some songs together and then I talked him into playing through the amp. He picked up a slide and the sound was so amazing his wife (at the time) ran into the room. Both she and I thought "WTF" . Marc - "I need to work on that. I would love to be better at slide". Fun to see him embrace all this love from his fans.

I don't think Marc realizes the magnitude of the impact and legacy he left. I'm so grateful he took time to share all of this with us, as I never expected to hear from him again and have always been curious. I don't blame him from walking away after the way the public reacted to grunge taking away his livelihood. I like grunge, but also 80s melodic metal, you don't have to choose. On Hungry, we are so lucky to have Marc laying down all of those amazing licks and solos using that one-of-a-kind benchmark tone. Today I felt like I got to meet one of my guitar heroes through John. The last part of the conversation is what I was waiting for. How can there only be one pro-shot live song from this group?!? I would pay good money for more live footage!

Its so great to see one of my guitar heros from yesteryear again, not having Marc around with his music is like the Jake E. Lee thing, these wonderful guitar players dropping off the radar for decades😮... anyway im stoked Marc is posting videos on YT, the Hungry album is ridiculous, the song writing is off the charts, production, guitar tone, vocals, just everything, absolutely stella. Excellent interview, Marc has exactly what i love in rock guitar players. Many thanks for this upload, most grateful. Cheers

Man, I'm sooooo happy and thankful to see Marc doing anything publicly again! I ALWAYS hoped we would hear something from him again. I used to worry that he would go the same way as Vito Bratta, which would be equally as tragic. In the end though, if living an anonymous life is what makes Marc, Vito or any of our guitar heroes happy, then God bless. They deserve to be happy. But damn, it's good to see this man and to know that he STILL kicks a$$ and playing better than ever! We love ya Marc!

This is amazing! I idolised Marc’s playing. To me, ‘Face Down…’ was THE guitar sound of that era. I had a 90/91 Jackson Soloist USA (California Sunset) and a Charvel 5 back then along with a JCM Model 2555 50/100, but could never quite get Marc’s sound. Close at times, but no cigar. I was so miffed!!! (nice to hear Dan Huff’s name too. Another player I admired. Loved Giant)

You should also look into Firehouse. Awesome cigar smoke filled bar ripping loud rock n roll. Epic riffs, not quite as wild as XYZ but these 2 bands together would be one hell of a night. This music is nowhere near dead. It's getting charged up to new levels. If you're in your late 20's to mid 30's your parents were jamming out to this at partys, in the bars, had big hair, wavy hair, smelled like booze and smoke. You know it and it's back!
