Finally a Sam centric episode! And its a good one! There really hasn't been a lot of Sam centric stuff this season, during the first half it was all about Amelia and since I didn't like that relationship, I didn't enjoy those scenes. But there hasn't been many episodes just focused on Sam and his struggles, even with these trials it's felt more like a B plot, heck last episode despite feeling the effects of the second trial the episode was more about Dean and Charlie. So yeah it's nice to get an episode more about him

I really quite like this episode. First and foremost because I got Cas, Crowley and Kevin all being clever and badass, which is right up my alley. I also like Metatron's introduction, and I think Sam got some good scenes too.

OMG Jess!!! I completely forgot that ALL OF THIS happens in this episode LMAO here i was thinking it was spread across 2 or 3 but Goddam! 😂 The biggest things for me this episode is 1. METATRON! Scribe is of GOD! A character I won't say any spoilers on, just that he is an amazing actor 👏👏.... And 2. CASTIEL! OMG i will always feel protective over our Fallen Angel. He deserves all the love and protection (even though hes an actual interdimensional being) lmao

Supernatural gets much better with the Scribe. A favorite character of mine. Metatron is fabulous, a wonderful actor, and a wonderful grey character, an excellent foil to the other baddies of Supernatural.

The scene where Sam tells Dean that the trials are purifying him, is what made me like Sam better than Dean. Don't get me wrong, Dean is awesome but Sam undertaking these trials knew it was his way of redemption. That was such an awesome moment

I think it's possible that Kevin suspected by then, but didn't want to give that away. As long as he plays along, he's safe for a while. But if that is the explanation, the demons should have figured out something was up then. So it might just be the writers messing up.
