Nice one man...and good on ya for picking Set Extensions as a topic on this one. There's a few tutorials out there on extending specific shots with very specific footage with very specific software...but not much about approaching the concept itself and basics of it. 👏 Good work! Pulling for your channel to grow and blow up!

Thanks for the tutorial. Is it possible to do the same thing in Davinci Resolve & Blender instead of After Effects & Blender at this point (Davinci Resolve 19 Beta 2)?
@cesaramaral7007 Жыл бұрын
Also, I''d love to see tutorials on things like: horizon replacement (say the original shot has a treeline, and you replace it with mountains), sky replacement. How to properly 3D track on softwares like Davinci (is that even possible?) and import it into Blender. Thanks for the tutorial

Hey great video.. I’m new to after effects but I’m making a film and I’m gonna be needing to do a lot of this… how long do you imagine it takes to learn these skills? and if you can, do you think you could help me out?
@VFXpert Жыл бұрын
Everyone has a different learning pace, but I picked up most of these After Effects methods in just a couple of months. Mostly using KZbin when I ran into an issue. But I have worked with similar software in the past, so that also might factor in. Other than that, not sure what else I can say, except I hope some of my future videos could help! Hope you found this comment helpful, too!

Thanks! This one definitely helped and I’m sure your other ones will too.

Great production value on your video! Just a few little pointers, because I see you're new, and I want to give constructive criticism as a viewer. Make sure your music is never overpowering, as I felt it slightly was for the first track of the video. Also, for your intro, a clap-board sound to match with the visual would be a great immersive touch! Very well put together video as a whole!

Appreciate your feedback, bro! I definitely have a lot to work on. Thanks so much and God bless!

I was wondering where/how you made/got the assets for the scenes. because I spend most of my time searching for assets lol. (im trying to become a VFX artist in the future and im doing my GCSE'S really soon (like in a few weeks or so) and need to spend more time on editing and not searching for assets lmao). Also i found this video very informative and helpful. Thanks :)

I'm using this for a film school assignment.. I'm making a short film about a cinematographer from the golden age of black n white silent film and his camera is a time machine that transports him to the current age of full color 4k 16bit cameras and yeah.. even in the future he only speaks in eccentric gestures.. while everyone else can talk his voice is inaudible the whole film

Can I rotoscope in Davinci too? or is the rotobrush a better option?
@nathansteiner208 Жыл бұрын
In fusion there is an amazing auto rotoscoping tool! It's as good if not better than rotobrush

This isn’t really a set extension per-se because you’re completely removing the character from the original scene and placing them in a new scene. A set extension generally always has some practical elements that merge with CG

Recommending AE in 2023 is somewhat humorous, but saying "even DaVinci Resolve" is straight up misinformation 😵
@cannibalraptor Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Even though it’s harder, I’d rather learn blender over any adobe software. The best advantage AE has is that there are a lot more tutorials and plugins. What would you recommend in place of AE?
@czerskip Жыл бұрын
@@cannibalraptor Right there in the comment: DaVinci Resolve replaces all video related tools from the Adobe Scam Suite. Blender is a completely separate thing.
