People will always doubt you when you tell them your goals so it is better not too say anything and comeback with results and if you fail your in a better place than you were before you started

My goal was to be a commercial helicopter pilot, I took helicopter lessons whenever I afford it, on a lineman’s pay. Never gave up, finally made my dream 5:53 at 47 y/o. I’m 67 now and still get exhilaration each time I get to fly. So I understand what you are saying Sir.

I recently got on a regional SWAT team after a brutal 10 hour selection day. PT and range all day. I had to get 3 IV afterwards. I’m sure it is not even close to SOF selection but it was a hell of a day. I have had the goal since I started my Leo career 3 years ago to join the team. I had been training for the selection day for quite some time. I took the mentality of I would rather die than not make the team and I think that is what drove me to pass. Making goals should be a %100 commitment otherwise you just don’t want it enough. There is no room for excuses.

One of the ways that I keep myself on the right track is by signing myself up for short term challenges. I don’t go on a 5 mile run because I wanna be an Airborne Ranger in 3 years after college, it’s because I’ve got a 5k in less than a month. 25m target.

Hey I recently just signed my contract for the army which is 25H with ranger school and airborne in my contract. I ship july 22nd so i go through boot camp then AIT then airborne and then ranger school. Will I be trained enough by big army in boot camp to be proficient at RTT and land navigation?
@hansangb
@hansangb 6 ай бұрын
Hmm. Land Nav takes a lot of practice to be proficient. The learning part (LARS, etc. is easy) You can learn the mechanics of landnav in 15 minutes and be proficient in knowing what resection means. But to do it at night when you're tired hungry and miserable is different story. You have 7 months. Go find a orienteering club in your area and start practicing. Civ orienteering isn't like military, but learning to read a map, shooting an azimuth etc is the same. Also, get a milspec lensatic compass and take that to your orienteering club. If you don't practice, you'll get lost in land nav. While you're at it, get a ruck and start practice rucking. There is no substitute to rucking. Don't start with a 80lb ruck on your first day. Build up slowly.

I’m 17 almost 18, I want to become a Marine Raider, I have 2 main questions. My first question is what do I do about my family because my grandparents basically raised me my whole life and they mean everything to me and they are getting up there in age and I’m afraid of losing the last few good years I have with them while in the military. My second question is someone close to me told me if I want to do special operations, being a raider is the worst choice because first it takes multiple years to even qualify to go to selection, second is we aren’t at war right now so being a infantryman is a waste of a few years when I could go straight into the army with an option 40 or if I waited a year a 18x. What should I do because eventho being a Marine Raider is what I wanna do the most, I want to get in as much fight as I can as soon as I can and to be honest I think the 75th is the best option for me, plus I can only spend 4 years in Ranger Bat and if I like the military I can either try RRC and SF, maybe even Delta if my career goes the way I want it to in my head, but then again even being a Ranger, Raider, or SF dude is extremely hard. So should I go the marine route, the ranger route, or the sf route?
@jmanj3917
@jmanj3917 6 ай бұрын
Follow your heart, young man. As far as the Infantry being a waste...lol Who would you rather have on your team, someone who knows as little as you do about the most basic aspects of military life, as a fighter, or someone who has put several years...at least...into becoming the most proficient Infantryman he can become, before going into a higher-pressure life? Personally, I'll take the guys who were Infantry first. And it's not just myself who feels this way. A lot of candidates for SFAS were getting a bad reputation (some earned; some couldn't have been farther from the truth) because they enlisted under the then-new 18 X-ray program, where they went to basic, then AIT, and then straight into the Pipeline for SF, at an MOS that was TBD (Thus the X part; Also, They usually had to pass SOPC before they would go to Selection. But they hadn't put in the time...in the military in general, but in the Infantry specifically...for others to feel comfortable with them. The other side argued that these candidates were receiving the same SF training, right alongside all the others, so what difference does it make for them to all be completely green going into training.) And a lot of guys who had spent years learning about the ups and downs of a soldier's life just didn't like this, which made life a bit harder for the newer guys sometimes. Whether or not that's fair, I'll let you decide. But it was certainly real.

@gabe_diaz the more time you spend wondering what you could do the more you won't come up with a true decision in life. Set the ultimate goal once and for all and follow your gut instinct. Everything related to Spec Ops makes you sacrifice A LOT of things in life, because raiders always fight somewhere in the world. You are still very young: if you'd start now you'll cross the strong path, but focus on yourself only and to nothing else. I'm a nobody to make life suggestions to others, but if I would give you the best advice I can at 28 is that you have to do things without regrets, ever. Time is constantly running out, so if you want something bad do it now. Good luck!

What's meaning of full anatomy physical strength and stamina???, it's not fitness and lifting weights, it's other type or kind of condition, it's combat and martial arts striking bones muscles tissue skin all body frame to raise actual anatomy physical potential and ability where your body can take much more pressure for any form of fighting

I don't know if you are reading comments or not but here is my suggestion anyway. I'm a marine engineer and I discovered your channel while I was onboard and your videos really inspired me in lots of different ways. Now I'm back home but still watching your videos and improve myself as much as possible. Your content is great but main problem preventing you from getting into larger crowds and more interaction is because you don't show your face. People are simple, we act on emotions and one of the strong ones is empathy. When viewers can't see the speaker's face it's possible that the speaker might me fraud and even worse maybe it's not even his own voice but a AI generated voice pack. In one of your videos you tell why you don't want to show your face and I understand that but also in ask hole video you tell don't take diet advice from a fat person, so my point is when people can't see you, they can't know that you are a person that they can take advice from. There are lots of professional ID frauds, keyboard commandos etc. I think it would boost your channel to show yourself and it would be more effective than just some video clips and narration. Best regards

Thank you very much for your comment.I do read the comments and agree with you. My family and I talk about this subject very often but we are always trying to balance privacy with success. Being famous is not my goal but to help , inspire, educate and strengthen people and the next generation of leaders. I offer personal face to face courses where people can interact with me on a personal level. I am currently working on some “ private “videos and projects that will be posted by the end of the year .
