take it like this A = (0,2) , these are not discrete values, they are intervals...like there can be multiple values b/w 0-1 and then 1-2 (for eg 0,0.1,0.2....1,1.1,....2 and so on) so acc to formula A-B should eliminate all the possibilities of B which can be starting from 1,1.1,1.2....2....4 , left with 0-1 for A. I hope you understood it!
