What is noticeable in most lessons about that down swing of driving the ball is how everyone is getting back on the right leg in the back swing (right handed swing) and then shifting to the left leg before u finish the back swing = ALL GOOD .... except nobody mentions to keep that head over the right knee all through impact .... so most people shift AND the head goes with that shift so they hit the ball downwards and push, slice or both cause upper body is not over the ball...not behind it at all! There's lot of head crunch towards right knee to keep that body sway at impact = body in a bit of a reversed "C" position really.... and that can't be done if u move ur whole body to the left with that driver.... good for iron swing... not driving! I remember u doing a great video were u positioned urself WITHOUT swinging at all so people understand that body position at impact really without any backswing... loved that... needs to be reminded constantly .... if u ask me. Love u kiddo.... love ur videos... take care ;))

@@TopSpeedGolf Hi Clay, when I adjusted my alignment by tilting, I had to move the ball further right to accommodate. Is that correct? Thanks again!

The shoulder tilt was a game changer for me. Im hitting more fairways and I feel much more comfortable pulling driver out. I even look at fairways differently when standing on the tee.

At 5:05 it almost seems like a slide/twist using your left leg as column. Seems like i will try to turn my hips too fast. If I keep my arms really loose I always seem to keep the clubface open. too.

Yes, you want to push with the lead leg. This is something Clay talks about in the Compression Line section of the Top Speed Golf System on the website. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

Thanks for the instruction...just about every pro I've seen at PGA events tilt their spine just as shown here...the side of their shirt above the right hip has a distinct crinkle when they setup to hit their driver.

Great lesson my friend. I've noticed that if I keep my right heel on the ground through out the swing to the finish I can hit where I'm aiming. Am I right?

Clay, you need to do a video on tempo of the swing. The timing between the draw back, rotational back swing and the downswing is critical to a good shot.
@TopSpeedGolf4 жыл бұрын
It's pretty subjective but most Tour players have a ration of about 3:1 backswing:downswing
@scottmackey41824 жыл бұрын
@@TopSpeedGolf I agree. There is a neat app called Tour Tempo that identifies 4 tempo recordings to help you start slower and increase to a tour speed level. Quite fascinating and useful. Check it out.

Be nice to see a video with separate scales beneath your feet so the results can then be synchronized with your swing to really visualize the actual weight transfer through a swing.

Hey, thanks for the interest but Clay doesn't offer private lessons. He focuses all his time on making videos and running the business. This allows him to help as many people as possible. Robin, our Director of Instruction, does private lessons in the Orlando, FL area. If interested then follow this link: topspeedgolf.com/in-person-lessons-with-robin-rosado/. Play well! Recommend everyone check out Clay's video at 50% speed video. - Hilarious because Clay sounds totally messed up at 50%! But the method to the madness is truly to see how much his buttocks has rotated at contact - and I bet it is a lot more than most of you and certainly me.... HA !
