Set up and 6-month review of the Reefloat ATU/ATO

I thought I'd start making videos about some of the equipment running my tank. ATU/ATOs are an essential piece of equipment to maintain salinity. I'm using an ATU from Reefloat, a UK cottage industry business. This video is not sponsored and Reefloat were not involved at all in its production. There's not much to say other than it works!

tank looks great you should be proud of it 👍 i’m tempted to replace my atu with the reeffloat the one i use generally lasts a year have had equipment from reeffloat before and after sales is top notch

Thanks! It's in a good groove at the moment. As I say, so far it's been great. You can also replace the sensor for about £19 I think, so saves replacing the whole unit if it does go! Also cheap enough to just have a spare sensor on hand.

Your tank looks incredible, it’s nice to see someone from the uk on KZbin! Gordan/ reef float has fantastic customer service, you don’t get that with the likes of d&d

I always have my sensors pointed downwards is the horizontal position that you have mounted this and the previous sensor as per instructions.

Hi tank looks amazing, I’m using this same atu but I don’t have a sump so it’s in my tank my water seems to drop low before it engages leaving me to manually override do you think I’m doing something wrong Thanks

Not sure...I wonder if the light interferes with it? I previously had a sensor in the tank and I had a 3D printer cover for it because I found snails used to claw over it and set it off!
