Can you pls let us know any limitations this trial will have , in case we want to practice a fresh implementation from A to z on this environment. I.e. in the online trials i found the dimension can not be activated due to missing maintenance mode.

I am not seeing "Downloadable VHD" in shared asset library. I don't see anything related to Dynamics 365 in shared asset library. Do you know what would cause this? Do my company account need to register to be a Dynamics 365 partner to be able to see the options? Would love to know so that my company can learn and transition to supporting Dynamics 365. Also do you know where I could get the virtual image to run Dynamics 365 locally if not on lifecycle services platform?

Hello Guys, I am so glad I found this topic, I recently converted my Dynamics FinandOps10.0.32 VHD to QCOW2 format using Starwind converter. My Windows login screen coming in as Localadmin and it looks like everything on the VM is working fine but for some reason my Dynamics 365 Unified Services are not running I also tried to start it manually but I am getting this error. " Windows could not start the Microsft Dynamics 365 Unified Operations: Batch Management Service service on Local Computer: Error 1064: An exception occurred in the service when handling the control request. Initially, I thought maybe it was because I changed the VM format but after reading comments on this forum I see that it's working fine on other formats for some reason mine on QEMU isn't working and I can't figure out what seems to be the issue and how to rectify it. I really appreciate it if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Definitely possible if you are good with tools and install processes. There are a ton of ways of converting one image type to another image type but they all fail sooner or later. But these steps will work for sure if you can execute the following: 1. Mount this image in windows system just the way I am doing in windows machine in this video. 2. Take the system image back up after logging in this D365 machine and save it on the external hard drive. 3. Install parallels for desktop on your Mac. 4. Install the normal windows server using some iso in parallels. 5. Now boot the windows server machine in advanced recovery mode. Reimage/reset the system through system image and point the image which you saved from windows machine (D365 image) and you now have the D365 system in Mac.

@gumbystern Yes, we can use desktop app & emulator. For app, we will have to first download warehouse app and then configure azure settings, link here: (docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/warehousing/install-configure-warehousing-app) but instead of doing this, I would recommend to use emulator which is the simple WHSWorkExecute() function of Dynamics 365 that will directly take you to warehouse mobile device emulator screen. For example if your environment link is usnconeboxax1aos.cloud.onebox.dynamics.com/?cmp=usmf&mi=defaultdashboard, just replace this link by usnconeboxax1aos.cloud.onebox.dynamics.com/?cmp=usmf&mi=action:WHSWorkExecute&cmp=USMF and bingo, you have the emulator already. Hope this helps !

Exact reason is not known to me. But most of the times I was able to get around these errors using the following measures: a) use a microsoft account like [e-mail] b) try to use the admin provisioning tool 2-3 times using the same hotmail ID, even if its not successful, try to log in the site, your ID will still work with these credentials.

Open Command Prompt (run as administrator) and enter the "slmgr" command. Once command prompt is opened, please type : "slmgr /rearm" and press enter. Restart system. You will get 6 more months to work with. After 6 months, repeat the whole process, new VM files, new installation. PS: You can try crack windows permanent activation, but I won't advise it because you after 1 year you should work on new VM version.
