Sete Cidades | Hiking on São Miguel | Azores

On my second day on São Miguel I am exploring the beautiful, unique scenery of Sete Cidades ("Seven Cities"). Ilha de São Miguel is part of the Portuguese island group of the Azores, a subtropical hiking paradise that you just have to see!
Sete Cidades is a town in the middle of a volcanic crater in the western part of the island. Here you can expect majestic sceneries, craters and lakes, steep climbs and a raw and wonderful nature.
Two of the many highlights on the tour are Vista do Rei Miradouro and Boca do Inferno, two marvelous viewpoints.
This hike has 24km with 630m elevation.
São Miguel is the perfect place for anyone who loves nature and the outdoors!

I use Komoot and sometimes AllTrails. It depends on what works better where. On Sao Miguel I used Komoot. :)

Maybe. It depends. As I understand it it will capture 360degrees and give you amazing flexibility regarding the parts you want to show, but the crops will not have the best resolution. If this changes and I can get a good quality 4K video from the insta 360 for specific crops I will seriously consider it.

It was July. Pretty stable temperatures and I think I have caught a particularly rainy week(no guarantee ;)). The forecast was better for the other weeks around my travel date.

It is! It works really well there. You can purchase offline maps so you'll be covered even if there is no internet reception. But mostly I had really great reception.
