After watching this again I might want to visit Sao Miguel rather than Madeira now lol. I love nature and the hikes and hot springs seem enticing!!
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
We are going to Madeira next and you might change your mind again! Both islands are beautiful and affordable. Our flights were less than $70 each way so if you can swing it, I'd say don't choose just one. Go to both! Thanks for watching 😃

Great video of my birth place not Sao Miguel but Pico island regardless all of Azores will always be my home & paradise , even though I live far from my islands the last 45 + years everyday they pop into my head , one day I will return home again to stay, until then it makes me happy to see good people appreciating such a beautiful, peaceful place and respecting it and are grateful they found what I like to call the remnants of Atlantis :))) well I don't have 100% proof of this but I like to believe the Azores are exactly that :))) ..Thanks - Obrigado for the upload very well done :)

We enjoyed the islands very much! I hope you do return to your home one day. Such a unique place that will remain at the top of our favorites list. Thank you for watching 😃

I didn't visit Pico yet but I would love to do it one day. I was born in São Miguel and I moved to Portugal mainland a few years ago. I miss my home land sometimes and I think it is a hideaway where I will always have a safe haven when things go awry. Cheers from your neighbour.

We were both very lucky to have been born in such a unique beautiful natural safe place, yeah every kid should be so lucky as we were . Although I was hatched :)) on Pico all nine islands will always be my home, visited Sao Miguel a few times & loved every second.. I have family & friends living there. Catia we both live on different continents now but we Azoreans will always be neighbors for life eheheh .. I cant wait to get back there & smell the ocean salt in the air.. watch the sunsets into the ocean & on & on & on .. climb majestic Pico mountain & try the wine when you finally make it to Pico, just a little suggestion from some one who has lol.. Cheers & Take Care :)@@catiabotelho5845

Mother of mine, you would love this place. Although we would have felt satisfied hiking this loop and doing nothing else, there is so much more on this island! Then Madeira comes next which we think slightly tops Sao Miguel. but only slightly.

Always blows my mind the similarities between the Azores and Ireland. It's always like looking at home.

I did this hike a few months ago. IT IS TOUGH! But if the weather is good then its a beautiful place
@wbader68 Жыл бұрын
That abandoned hotel is a rather famous "lost place". Many people (and youtubers) sneaked into it despite the signs and got great views. The Azores are such a great place! Every island is different and has unique features to enjoy.

Thank you for this super helpful video😊 I'm going in a couple of weeks actually and looking to incorporate a couple of hikes. This one seems mostly along the road though is that right?

I have to know….. Are cows early risers like roosters!? By the way, loved this video and happy to see the return of some drone footage! 💕
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Haha yes unfortunately cows do not sleep in. Not quite as early as roosters but too early if you're on vacation. We will try to fly the drone a little more often! 😀

If you look at where the Azores are located on the map you'll see why it isn't as tropical as you'd expect or not as tropical as Madeira. Hahaha, I was wondering when the "needs more cowbell!" joke would come up! xD
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Ya... We figured the island would have atleast the same weather as Lisbon. We didn't leave disappointed in anything though. SO beautiful and there was definitely no fever after all that cowbell!

Where did you rent your car?☺️
@knol196911 ай бұрын
That you didn’t get a rental with stickshift is may be your driverlicense is for automatic. At least in The Netherlands you can drive automatuc and shift if you have a driverlicense for stick, if your license is inlo automatic you are not allowed to drive a car with stickgear.
@SOSASATSUNRISE11 ай бұрын
Funny story. We asked for a stick shift and they were all rented. Apparently we were there during a popular season for locals to travel there.
