This was a great interview. Seth was very honest here and that was great to hear. Need the role players for sure and the grit and tenacity. I also agree with the system. A lot of times it's not fluid. Too much time trying to make a decision rather than just knowing or playing off instincts. It will be nice to have Johnson and zaitsev contracts off the books. That's over 8 mil right there. Raddysh , megna, tinordi gone. One more year paying McCabe. AA needs to stepup next year. Have to also remember hawks had so many injuries so lineups were jacked sometimes. Taylor hall hurt all year and lost perry production and leadership. Savoie and slaggert motoring around next year will add grit and tenacity and they play roles. Hopefully Davidson brings in Some good pieces.

The system isn't the problem. The issue is that they played with a lot of inexperienced kids, especially on the back end, who weren't used to the speed and skill of the NHL game. What you saw was rookie mistakes, rather than flaws in the system. And, their being forced to play with guys like Tinordi and Megna didn't help matters, either. The personnel was a FAR bigger issue when it came to poor decision--making. Had Jones and Murphy stayed healthy the entire season, we probably would have seen a lot less of it, even with all of the kids out there. Savoie will almost certainly be an IceHog next season, and it's quite possible that Slaggert will, as well, depending on who they acquire over the summer. The Hogs are going to be fun again next year. I'm looking forward to Gavin Hayes joining them, too.

@@Yo_Adrienne I agree the system is fine. Just some players at times indecisive within the system. I don't think hawks will spend much again next year and continue to develop the young guys. Definitely more losing will frustrate everyone but it's the price to pay. Just hope hawks picks develop into beasts. Murphy should be a 5 or 6 dman at this point.

Don’t forget how shitty the veterans played mixing with the kids. Alot of times jones murphy tinordi and zaitzev played like absolute dog shit themselves throughout the year lmao. Why are they acting like they were playing well without the youngsters is fuckin hilarious

@@kyledelcotto4550 yeah tinordi , Murphy and zaitsev were mostly bad. 2 of the 3 prob won't be back. Murphy should be like a 5 or 6 dman. 10 min or thereabouts for Ice time. I like Jones mostly. I mean not for 9.5 mil a year but he is mostly solid.
