Both American Dad and Family Guy have played a huge role in my life. I had abusive parents, and my escape was watching TV. Those two shows really held a place for me during that time, along with Futurama. I've also enjoyed watching the seasons we have of Orville. I might just be a Seth fanboy at this point, but it isn't unwarranted. The man really is incredibly brilliant and creative. I still watch either Family Guy, or American Dad, every day. It's background noise when nothing else is on and taking my attention. I have the Hulu without ads ;)

@@wat4036 when Adult Swim would come on, that was my only time alone. Family guy was always on at 11p. Something I've really enjoyed was liking it for the silly scenes and wacky activities that go on when I was younger, and as I've grown and watched more media I catch the references more and more. As I've watched more of the older movies and TV shows, I'm always like, "Wait a sec, that was in Family Guy. NOW I KNOW!" I'm 27, so I've been around for Family Guy since like '06. I remember the premier of American Dad.

The Orville is hands down the best scifi series I've ever seen, bar none. As a fiction writer, each episode told a captivating and unique story, and the scope of human, alien, and 'non-biological' emotions (or lack thereof) conveyed by each character in the fascinating plotlines leave me in awe. That one artist, Mr. McFarlane, with the help of so many talented actors and production crew, conceived of The Orville and guided it to be a hallmark of storytelling that it is leaves me humbled with admiration. Thank You, Captain Mercer!
