I mean technically the could sort of do holograms by having a tube of steam or smoke or something that the image was projected onto, which is something that's used a lot for really flashy 'high Tech' places and gimmicks It will be interesting to see what the new normal becomes once the virus is gone, if these types of, essentially broadcasted video chats become the new normal. If an actor doesn't want to travel to a specific place or can't make it in time they could just do a video call. Either way it will definitely be interesting to see what happens

That screen might be a Samsung intelligent whiteboard/flipchart. We have some at our University. They are basically big tablets with a pen and can be used either as a whiteboard or as a screen to play back stuff. I even managed to couple it with my then 6 year old Samsung phone and screencast YT onto it. Can be rotated as well.
