Seth has a good range of fun and thought provoking. He can definitely go harder then this, like Pripyat or Hellboy, he's got introspective like Run or Float away and good mixes of humour and rap like My Scene, play it safe, dumb or Room for rent.
@jbrehaut11992 жыл бұрын
I think Hellboy is a really good example of some of his wordplay - that, or his RapperTag. That'd be a fun reaction.

Glad Seths made it into the reactions already, still keen for my RQ for Castlevania to come through when you get to it..keep on grindin my dude. EDIT: more serious tracks of his like "warm winter" and "strange lot" are dope but most of his tracks are great for a laugh with pretty sweet bars, funny ass disses and intricate, interconnected lryics. So fire live too.

John never wanted to leave behind his ‘home’ and do what he was expected to do as a solo artist to become ‘known’ in the US, following his experiences touring so much with LRB. He loves Australia, is a strong family and friends man, and just loved what he does for the joy of singing - he never desired to chase that ‘fame’. The fame came because how on earth could you not adore/respect/be in awe of that voice. He has the adoration of so many in his country and it makes him happy and his audience happy. He is a truly genuine man who just happens to have the greatest set of vocal chords and the most incredible stage presence of our time.

I wasn't a huge rap or hip hop fan but this is one of the songs that eased me into listening to more. I really appreciate Seth's penmanship in songs like 10 paces and most of this album actually. While he can go to fun topics like hoverboards he's also got some profound songs that really hit hard.

His new album has some more of the bars and wordplay you seem to enjoy more with hiphop. This was Seth's commercial era.. a few catchy songs to get radio play that are funny rap, he is more like "lil dicky" in that sense than a lyricist like Em or Kendrick. He has tracks where he shows his pen game more but this is the lighter side of Seth. Fun fact.. this video has cameos from a few other rappers and DJ'S of the day. One of them was "Mantra", he has some pretty nice lyrical stuff for its time. The Aussie hiohop scene was still coming of age and most songs were made to try and get radio play, we didn't have many individual spiritual miracle lyrical type artists. They were something you could chuck on at a party and sing along to the hook.

He's definitely goofing here but he's got a diverse mix of styles. More heart touching stuff of his would be 'Warm Winter' 'Strange Lot' or 'Denial'. Then for pure bar spittery I'd recommend 'Hell Boy', 'Cabin Fever' or 'Nobody Like Me'. Great to see coverage of aussie hip hop!

Yo dude I've been wondering how long before some awesome Aussie would put you onto Seth! This song is a great interaction into him and his style of rap, some other favourites of mine I'd love to suggest; "Dumb", "Hell Boy", "Denial" (this one was made during the week of the George Floyd incident). Great reaction as always dude! Keep up the great work! Love the streak of love to the Aussie artist lately!
@throwaway67152 жыл бұрын
Ps yes, you had the correct reaction most of his songs aren't super serious, they're more of a funny story telling kind of rapper similar to little dicky as a comparison, that being said he does have some more serious songs like the one I mentioned earlier, denial, and both pripyat pt1 and pt2, and train catcher
@sambaulch43772 жыл бұрын
yeah i’ve sent through a paypal request for denial, glad he got here this side of him first

This song is just Seth clowning - which honestly is a big part of his appeal, but he can spit pretty hard too! This is a good intro, but I imagine you'll get some more requests for some of his harder stuff. This clip is also a bit of a who's who of some Aus Hip-Hop acts - Mantra and Grey Ghost chilling in the background of a few shots!
